Another ghost service? What's the purpose? There isn't any development there except for few who can walk to Punggol road and take sv 84 or LRT in future.
Punggol may have a new feeder but for Punggol East end.
I know it is not related to buses, but I have nowhere to ask this.
Why do Punggol West LRT trains stop at stations that are not in service?
The junction of Punggol Road and Punggol Way is now open. No traffic lights though.
Does anyone know if the Matilda Court HDB along Sumang Lane received TOP?
If yes, we may see 382 modified pretty soon to ply Sumang Lane as the HDB is tucked away right inside close to TPE.

Hi mr CZT, actually it is very strange to open Punggol point LRT station at this time. No new developments at all. That area ponggol 17th ave is a private area where most people have cars. It is also not within walking distance to Punggol settlement area. It is around 1.5km. Most people will take service 84 if need to go to punggol settlement as 84 stops directly at the bus stop there. Cheers. Thanks.

Lol... that's not funny!! Does SMRT get penalized for its clumsy deployments and not making the WAB quota so often?

They should get the A24s from sv 176 and give it DDs instead. That's such a waste. And then they deploy 1 A24 on sv 969 (for what?), 1 on sv 67 routinely (388S mostly) and 1 or 2 on sv 188.
Totally they are wasting around 10 A24s on trunk services that already use DDs. (not counting 858 where there is no option). Mindless people at SMRT who are doing these WAB bendy deployments.

Should totally give some to 27 or 34. No reason for SMRT to keep all the A24s when everything is under GCM.

I think 1 / 2 of the 176 A24 are redeployed to 184..

Once Compassvale interchange is up and Punggol extension, I expect other new services to compensate for 27 and 34. 34 loading also has been taken away to some extent by 118.
I prefer SMRT keeps the A24s for its feeders/intratowns. Max 184 and 962 as they are good candidates for bendies.
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:Sooner or later feeders and intratowns have to use DDs instead.. then can leave the A24s for airport svcs only. Bo bian mah.
They can do a mix. Some feeders can do v well with DDs where the estate/alighting point is further away from MRT.
CCK
300 -> B (most loading comes from 1st 3 stops along CCK Ave 4)
301 -> D (most loading comes along Keat Hong Close/Ave 6)
302 -> B (preferable due to two MRTs)
307 -> S (no need for B/D)
308 -> S (no need for B/D, if demand surges, DDs should be okay as Keat Hong estate is quite far from MRT)
WDL
900 -> D (alighting points along WDL Ave 4)
901 -> D (alighting points along WDL Ave 1)
903 -> D (most people alight along Marsiling estate)
904 -> S (don't think this service will need HC buses)
911 -> D (can do well given that serves only WDL MRT)
912 -> B (prefer bendies as it serves 3 MRTs)
913 -> B (prefer bendies as it serves 2 MRTs + stops along Woodlands Circle quite close to Admiralty)
Yishun
800 -> B (prefer bendy as most loading comes from 2 stops along ring road that are <5 min away from interchange. Otherwise full route 800 is strictly SD loading)
803 -> S (service will not need HC buses)
804 -> D (will do well with DDs as most load is towards Yishun st 41/ave 1 which is far from MRT)
805 -> S (does not need HC buses, in future if demand surges can use DDs given that ave 1 is further away)
806 -> D (demand is at ave 6/ring road, both quite far from MRT)
811 -> B (preferable to use bendy as it loops Yishun MRT multiple times + Khatib with stops pretty quickly from interchange/MRT)
812 -> B (prefer to use bendy but on this service DDs can be quite okay also)
So overall following feeders/intra-towns can continue use bendies:
300 (10), 302 (16), 800 (5), 811 (12), 812 (6), 912 (12), 913 (12).
* Just above 7 services will take 73 bendies more than the 40 WAB bendies available
382G/W will extend to somewhere next year.
GA will receive 15 new Double deckers next year.
All service today behind schedule..

Hi mr carbikebus, wow 15 new DDs. Later you see GA implementing it on 382G/W. Cheers. Thanks.

Long distance feeders/intratowns use a mix of SD/DD
Suprisingly BYD operate today
Are there still any significant roads which needs buses that are still not served by any bus services? There's Maxwell Rd, Bedok North St 2 but are there more?
Oh yeah 854 WAB quota fucked up again . Last week 854 has 9 Bendies and 6 DD the rest are SD . Previous week was 3-4 Bendies and 8-10 DD .
Previous week - 80-88% WAB buses
Last week - 65-69% WAB buses
Is this a trend where they increase WAB buses this week and then decrease it next week and then bring it back up the following week ?
