hi mr sbs6750E, correct me if I am wrong. Cheers. Thanks.

So should be okay IMO even if don't have direct link to Hougang1. Many places in Hougang don't have direct link to Hougang1 and survive on other malls.
Hougang 1 is nearest mall to Buangkok Cres.
Anyway, your route can be amended to serve HG St 93/91, HG Ave 9, then YCK Rd. But there are more traffic lights on this route.

Even HG Ave 8 is not connected to Hougang1. Doesn't matter if it has connections to other malls. 101 brings them to Hougang Green mall and the proposed 104 brings them to NEX, Compass1 and Hougang1 is a short walk Fromm YCK road bus stop. The st 91/93 will slow down any service that plies through it.

SMRT Bus Feeder 912M
Route:
Woodlands Sq
Woodlands Ave 5
Woodlands Ave 2
Woodlands Ave 1
Woodlands St 41
- Blk 425
- Blk 406
Woodlands Ave 1 (Express)
Woodlands St 31 (Express)
Woodlands Ave 3
- Opp Marsiling Stn
Woodlands Ave 1
- Blk 303
Woodlands St 41
- Blk 409
- Blk 413
Woodlands Ave 1
Woodlands Ave 2
Woodlands Ave 5
Woodlands Sq
Reasons:
- Connect Woodgrove residents to Marsiling Stn during the peak hours
- Relieve Blk 303's loading
912M's current loading is alright with 1 SD 1 BD deployment..
There is a need to do rescheduling.. 912M departure timings are mostly scheduled to bunch with another 912 / 912E bus..

101 doesn't ply HG St 51 in both directions.

Of course I know.
About the rumoured express bus 500,
Sengkang Interchange to Shenton Way is 21 kilometres. To Boon Lay Interchange is another 22 kilometres. Total 43 kilometres.
As an express bus service, it must pick up at least 4 Adult passengers per kilometre.
This means for every trip, the bus must pick up 172 Adult passengers.
At Jurong West, city direct 651 pick up around 20 passengers only. I think the other one (premium something) around 40. Even if combine both into a new route, the combined loading is around 60 passengers only. Sengkang should be around the same.
Both sides need to top up around 112 passengers to make this express route have "healthy loading".
One way is to ply Bukit Merah Road, to increase loading by about 50 passengers. And also promenade (Suntec city) area, to increase by another 50. The remaining 12 maybe can get from Lavender area (Victoria Street / Kallang Road).
This way is perhaps the only way the rumoured express bus service 500 can have "healthy loading", and run at 2 trips during morning and evening peak hour.
Meanwhile, a bus route 43 kilometres long is going to attract an estimated travel time of 120 minutes.
Considering no one from Jurong West or Sengkang would travel from one end to another (eg. Sengkang to Boon Lay), maybe it's better to split the route into two. To have the Sengkang route terminate at Kent Ridge Bus Terminal, and the Jurong West one terminate at Marina Centre Bus Terminal (near Singapore Flyer).
The estimated travel time will still be more than 60 minutes, but not as much as 120 minutes. Better for the driver, and easier to operate also.
Someone here suggested 36 to have Double-Decker. Got common sense? I didn't know Changi Airport Basement can support Double-Deckers.

36 cannot but 36B yes..Or renumbered as 36M Siglap Link-Tomlinson Rd...essential during peak hours..Deploy 6 DDs is good enough to supplement 36.
