If 176, 190, 966, 969, 972 were under SBST, they would be full fleet DD.
965 would be majority DD. If SMRT had enough DDs, they wouldn't even need the 30 Citaros.
More Wrights to SMRT please. At least better than nothing. But once the A95 Batch 3 comes in, give SMRT about 1/3 of them.

SMRT is a real problematic company, to be honest. Back to Sv 190, agreed that full fleet DD is necessary, the MAN lion buses are useless for this high demand service route. You can see the stark contrast of Sv 106 when TT take over from SMRT Bus, where most of the fleets are DDs now

They have management problem with their budgets... Cant spend money the right way, causing in inadequte procurement of DDs...

Back then TIBS/SMRT rely on bendy buses to be different from SBST until BSEP and LTA took over everything..Depot spacing is the main issue.SMRT is the only operator share depot with other operators.

As people know 39 takes longer and has a lower frequency, they still take 969 as the frequency is super solid at every 8 mins during peak hours. If not no way people would often sit down for the next buses at the berth
