Yes as long as its HC, and there arent enough A24's to go around anyway. The O405G's are not WAB and many are in horrible condition.
Should send a few more of the O405G's to 860 and kick out a few shitaros though.

Thanks for informing.
So it seems that the perm 851 bendies are out for good and were meant to be replaced by the A95's. Any bendies on 851 now seem to be fully cameos.
But as carbikebus bro says, next week then we know for sure.
Look out for SG5751 & 5759 might be perm.860 also can try 3 DDs if they want..11 Citaros and 3 A95s should be okay.Next please add 1 more full day bus for svc 852.

I didnt say there are height restrictions along 851 route and didnt think so... someone else did. But thats not important.
851 just one of the last priority for SMRT.
Now lets hopw 167/980 can get some too.
Lets hope 804 and 811 can get some too, after 851. So 806 can be WAB friendly in time for Sungei Seletar handover.

859 used to have bendies. I think 859 will get DD's before 852/853 do. 852/853 were the ultimate dumping ground for the Lances just like how last time 161 ended up as dumping ground for the BX341E's.

857 originally need a high capacity bus but in the end waited until Yishun Int torn down and finally get.
854 originally need a double decker bus but in the end waited until Yishun Int torn down, and Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot lifted its height restriction.
851 originally need a double decker bus but in the end waited until Ang Mo Kio Bus Depot had completed its removal of roof.
SMRT needs to totally focus on upgrading 804, 811 to make 806 become WAB first, before accelerating onto the mass replacement of bendy-to-DD but unlikely to extend with multiple dates. 2 buses are down from Hispano MK2 due to being too old, 2 buses are down from Hispano Habit due to accidents.

The Nissan Diesel U31RCN (178, 853 & 980), Scania L113CRL (178), Dennis Lance 245 (853 & 980) were dumping grounds until they were not satisfied with elderly friendly and wheelchair-friendly that is why they chose to retire Nissan Diesel U31RCN. Secondary models were phased out too.

Yeah,Last time under Amdep got 4 perm O405Gs beside 5 O405s.
Thats because the bendys are hardly utilized well. But last time I rode them this year its still the same..its 962 which should get them
And TIB650G and other Scania Alexanders too

Theres so many bus connections between Sembawang and Yishun liao. But anyway, it could be that pax'es shun away from 859 once they downgrade to SD. Dunno. Just my guess.

Its a feeder like trunks and no one would take from end to end..Too winding.

The thing is, 859 is the ONLY bus which enters the insider areas of Sembawang. There is a significant amount of people who take the service as the flats the bus service passes by are all 14-21 storeys. With more 14-15 storey flats almost completed, the load is definitely going to increase. This service is actually to serve those residents like me not served by other services and nothing more. Load is still moderate/high even though its winding

Still, I do see many people who take 859 from SEM to Yishun where there are more direct buses to other places. Not all people want to take MRT as buses are faster
Ok, you may be right, so lets just say that it just helps to fulfil the needs of the residents

Yes there are folks like me who hate the MRT .... if I aint driving that day and there is bus alternative to MRT, die die will take bus.
I think the time I last rode in an MRT in SG was 2008.
The missing link is to Tampines/Pasir Ris. Many residents go there which is why bus 39 is overflowing as it is the only bus to PSR. Not to mention its an expressway bus too
