Search heh... If I could I will still ask you? Nvm... Means you have nothing to offer... In which case SHAME ON YOU to say mine is "random"... Mine is calculated with whatever info I have eg. Purchasing price for every order SBST made... Furthermore common sense also will tell you, assembly in China and an integral bodywork means ADL will def be more cost saving... SMRT didnt buy in bulk compared to SBST which is what made the buses seem more costly... In reality the per-bus cost for ADL is substantially lower...
How about this, I will deal with you later with some screenshots. Those will make you eat your own words.

Yah I agree with you, but there is sv 3 and 85 running in parallel. If they added DDs on sv 3 instead, that should do the job already.
Hi mr sbs6750E, service 85 not really very parallel because it did not go to Punggol field. 3 and 83 are still parallel along Punggol field. Punggol field also has a huge sector of crowds in morning peak. So 3 is more important to have DDs. Cheers. Thanks.

This is the second half of the ADL order. The first half the order was 470k, the later half had an OMV of 508k.
This is for the second batch of Wrights.
By some measures, comparing the prices of latest batch of buses could lead to a more accurate reflection of the situation. Here we can see that comparing the latest batch of E500s and Wrights, the Wrights are cheaper than the E500s.
And if you want to argue based on HK, did you follow the KMB's press release here?:
In the above document it says the total value of the transaction for 220 B9TLs is £48.6m. For each bus, it will be HK$2.22m. This is one of the cheapest double decker deals in recent orders for HK.
Are you ready to rest your case now?

There's not much diff... you have to bear in mind that SBST bought 415 B9s and SMRT only half of that number for ADL... The fact that the difference is so little even though SBST would have enjoyed huge bulk discounts shows clearly that the B9s by themselves are not cheap buses...
In other words, if SBST had bought 201 B9s just like SMRT the cost would be higher...

in actual fact, the actual cost of these B9TL for SBST are lower.. but there is a term called accounting, which result in higher OMV....
any idea how many a95 lta ordered in total?

182. 60 are registered this year and currently assigned to SMRT while 122 are future units that will begin delivery next month.

So the 122 still go to SMRT?I believe LTA will place an additional 100 more orders.
I remember coming across another article which mentioned another 137 new A95s will roll in next year. Is that Batch 3 or something? And also anymore A95s (probably from 58xx onwards) going to come out soon? Hopefully all for SMRT though.
Anyway those old MK2 0405Gs (973A to 1001Z) can start their retirement already.

Maybe 122 for SMRT and subsequent 137 for others?

No. 137 buses with USB port. 122 A95 and 15 A22.

There wasn't any mention of any A22s getting it though. Do the recently registered ones have it?

No. What I meant is that LTA bought 122 A95 and 15 A22.
The OMV range of the A95s is comparatively wide. They have quite a latitude to set prices and do respond to the prospect of competition, something I have previously discussed.
The bus manufacturers' pricing strategy isn't too far away from how Boeing is pricing their 787 Dreamliners, amongst other factors.

There is still some some left I wonder why you want them out early
I think you worry too much about fleets having full WAB their time will come sooner or later.

IF SMRT previously had order 70 A24s then you will see those MK II bendy buses had gone earlier.

I wonder if LTA is the one that stop SMRT from buying new bendies back then due to certain space constraints or something. So far only 40 units and no more?
Btw is there also a limit for SMRT feeders to use only bendies for high capacity buses? So far no DDs had been perm deployed on feeder yet. Wonder how will SMRT handle the feeder replacements once the 100+ bendies start their deregistration from next year onwards. Unless double up the total fleet with those rigids.

They will just spam 30 shitaros per feeder after the bendies retire thats all.

by that time the concept buses shld be rolling in progressively... if still not coming in then is LTA failure...
Just to share, I used to be a Friends of Tibs and I attended their dialogue sessions back then in 1998. I remember the Tibs staffs raised concern about DDs that had height constraints and even mentioned about incidents regarding top parts being ripped off. Hence their decision to purchase bulk bendies instead of DDs to boost capacity.
Whereas for SBST, there were 2 bendies brought in for trial but were eventually sold off due to space constraints or something.
yep. Due to space constraint
