Err no? It was even cheaper than B9TL? Where you get your info from??
SMRT brought in the ADL at 439k per bus. At that time, SBST was spending 528k on one B9.
NPNT??

I doubt your figures. The cheapest ADL was 469k, but that was only for 1 or 2 units. The next 10 or 20 are 470k. But most of them are 508k. The oldest Wrights are around 520k but this dropped to around 475k-480k for most of the Voiths. The current batch of Wrights are 505k. These are the OMV of the buses, instead of the random numbers you've plucked out.

Be careful what you wish for. It could be in the form of 190M or 972M.

While A95 price also vary from 430K to 600K...
further, we wont know about the after service package/warranty given by each of the manufacturers? maybe some only one year warranty on parts, while Volvo might give 2-3 years warranty.. we wont know....

Really? Help explain the DDs on 46, 83, 119 among many others.

Doesn't 972 already have 920/922?
Doesn't 190 already have 975/985 in parallel on the "feeder" part of the route?
190 operates at 03-04 mins and 972 at 06-08 mins + have other routes to supplement the "feeder" part, yet need more services??
Please explain.

Dude, read the context I said all these higher up in the thread instead of reading it in a single piece based on the quoted block in sgbuses' reply.

It is available online, for you to find out where it is. It is in fact a function used by quite a few members here.

If you think its inappropriate for those services, you can feedback to LTA about it.

Yes, certainly after sales packages would be considered by the buyers of the buses though my reply to SMB128B was based on his insistence that a Enviro 500 is definitely cheaper than a Wright, which I believe you know it is not true based on your knowledge of the OMVs of the buses.

It is a reply to your comments where you say "believe the planners at LTA have the loading numbers to justify why DDs are on certain services and why they aren't on others. If the numbers had been convincing enough, they would had put DDs since 1st Sep".

Yes, which is why if you are convinced that their figures or projection is wrong, you could send in a feedback to them. In fact given that you are an active commentor of such issues, it is quite strange you have not appeared to have done so.

And oh yah, 83 is packed but nobody moves up during peak hours, so let the bendy bus debate reignite if so you please.

Huh?? Where?? You were so intelligent to render my numbers as "random"... Come, enlighten my confused soul! Is it so hard to at least provide the link to the resource, or how to find?
I still dont believe an E500 is more expensive than a B9 lor... If it is in HK why not here?

HK market is different from the Singapore market, their Wrights have their chasssis made in Sweden with the body assembled in Malaysia before being shipped over to HK, their Enviros on the other hand have their chassis made in Malaysia and bodied in China. And despite this, the recent KMB B9TL order (with a press release) proves that the B9TL can be cheaper than Enviros.
And yes, please search this forum for OMV, I'm not the only one who have posted OMV information before, a few others have done so before hand, including way back in 2008, plus one of the other users in this exact page uses that function regularly and knows the OMVs of the buses.

No wonder sbs transit increases the frequency for sbs 84 from 24 min a bus to 10 min a bus by adding 1 more bus to sbs 84 fleet. Currently sbs 84 fleet has 2 buses. Today 5.25pm, the loading for sbs 84 is 45 people boarding at bus interchange. At sheng siong bus stop, another 7 people boarded. The bus is so packed and this is the first time I saw more people on sbs 84 than the usually crowded sbs 83. All the people on board sbs 84 are heading towards Punggol settlement (a huge cluster of restaurants at Punggol end). Super crowded at weekends ever since Punggol settlement opened. Cheers.

Got 1 time peak hour i drive 83 is packed but luckily most of them went upstairs,That for just 1 trip only...Others hahaha..Most of the time they will camped downstair only.So 83 ideal fleet will be 6 Citaros and 2 B9TLs.119 just add 1 more split Citaro enough.
43M timing is worse than SBST,Most BCs always late from 5-14 mins..

Nobody would want to go to the isolated bus stops just to wait for svc 119 to PGL int..
3 and 83 are packed like sardines. Do YOU want to board it to Punggol? Oh wait, there might not even be any space for you to board...
85 have very horrid frequency. 119 approximate off-peak freq is 11-13 mins. 85 takes a good 23 mins to come. Singapore OS a got country u noe. Again, would you like to blaze under the sun?
119 will prosper very soon. Once the developments there are ready, I guarantee even DDs will be so packed pax can't board at Punggol, both directions. Just wait and see.

Nope... Acc to their immigrations website ADL cheaper leh...
Search heh... If I could I will still ask you? Nvm... Means you have nothing to offer... In which case SHAME ON YOU to say mine is "random"... Mine is calculated with whatever info I have eg. Purchasing price for every order SBST made... Furthermore common sense also will tell you, assembly in China and an integral bodywork means ADL will def be more cost saving... SMRT didnt buy in bulk compared to SBST which is what made the buses seem more costly... In reality the per-bus cost for ADL is substantially lower...

Quite a lot board 83 towards Punggol in the morning before 8am... Mostly students... Some citaros are having trouble handling the load...
The way to work around it tho is to boost freq, not add DDs... Its quite white elephant tbh

Hi mr sbs6750E, 83 is seldom packed, except for few occasions. Nobody can change my opinion on this. I take 3/83 very often. I stay around Punggol central and I rely on public transport everyday. In fact, 3/83 are my key buses. Cheers. Thanks.
For the sake of commuters,Its better with 6 Citaros and 2 B9TLs for S83.
S119 better with 7 Citaros and 2 B9TLs.
S2,S12,S43,S62 & S118 also better with full DDs with occasional SD cameos.
S3 better with 14 SDs and 5 DDs.
