That's nice to hear. Seems like LTA is rounding the purchase to 200 units of A95 in total (1 demo + 16 batch 1 units (earlier source stated 20 but I guess only 16 was acquired in the end) + 60 batch 2 units + 122 batch 3 units + 1 concept). Now I just hope the paint scheme could follow the concept bus/earlier lush green A95s or at least have the windscreen area painted black. It would be nice if they also updated the design to the concept bus style too.
Is it the concept bus? "MAN Truck & Bus and the Malaysian bodybuilder Gemilang developed the new double-deckers for Singapore in close cooperation."

Nope . It's not the MAN DD L 12.8m is the normal DD . Gemilang just use the DD L picture for this news article .

One concept?? Why one tho

Also SMRT itself has moved its A24s from feeders to trunks. Most SMRT routes have more SDs spammed than bendies even though they have super high loading. In such case, I prefer that there are DDs instead of spamming SDs.
I still dont see eye to eye with DDs on feeders... LTA had better speed up delivery of concept buses and order a large fleet of those for use on feeders and intratowns...
Then sell those LE B9s (not bought over by GCM) and those trashy B2 B9s (LF ones) to other countries... Malaysia perhaps?
Consider early retirement for CDGE also... Most of them look unfit for another decade of svc anyways

Good good good! More MAN, less rubbish Volvos!
Keep them rolling in!!!

they did not mention about the model.. and there might be possibility that these 137 buses might be B9TL..
So there you have it. 122 of these 137 buses are new A95s.
The remaining 15 should be the last few for the initial orders.

LTA say from next month.... but this new order delivery from 2017.....

Progressively from next month bro... Besides this order will start shipping in from end 2016, buses in early 2017, not that far away... In between the remaining 15 A95s serve as a bridging period...
Dont be so gullible to believe the 137 buses will come overnight... It is LTA fashion to delay things as much as possible...
So 122 A95s and 15 A22s?All for SMRT?Then later their Volvos transfer back?

so where the additional 15 A95 came from?
did i say the 137 buses will come overnight? i only say from next month...
so u r saying that from Oct to dec, there are 15 new A95 with USB port to be put into service? so where will these buses came from? since LTA only order 60 + 122 buses..

Dont take my words so literally pls... Very cancerous ley...
Okay so even if assuming current A95 orders are complete... Maybe the 15 buses are B9 lor, but I can tell you the chances of that is extremely low... Given how the current design already being placed on mass intake really means that both LTA and Volvo/Wrightbus are unwilling to change the design for the bus... If they have done so why arent we seeing announcer system/PIS/Ventura doors? And it is a FACT that volvo is more rigid in nature and is backward in technology compared to MAN...

The one that was showcased during LTA's bus carnival.

nobody know.. unless u work in LTA.. maybe they take 15 B9 to do a trial?
As for the PIS etc, didnt you read the LTA press release?
I have a feeling that the 122 man a95 are for future opeator for Seletar bus package . And also LTA will not order any 12.8m concept bus until 2018 as trial run for the 1 unit 12.8m SG5999Z has not been in service yet .
The chassis for the new order (122 units) will be progressively made by the end of this year - while the bodywork that gemilang provides will start next year . Earliest arrival of the new batch of buses with complete bodywork and interior is Q1 2017 .

- LTA Group Director Public Transport, Mr Yeo Teck Guan said: “The introduction of the USB charging ports to new public buses is part of the review and upgrade in the design of public buses in Singapore. Other interior features that could feature in future public buses include information display panels, better seat comfort, lightings, and foldable seats. These features aim to provide more comfort and more flexibility in the utilisation of space within the buses and will enhance commuter experience. This is a crucial part of making public transport in Singapore the choice mode of transport as we move to a car-lite society.”
Well we arent seeing them on B9s are we. These are more likely for the concept buses. And very likely given the rigidity of the SBST orders the B9 wont stand a chance too

It's not such a big deal bro. Making it a bigger deal than it is. I still prefer DDs to rigid spamming on feeders.
Well fucking done la... LTA ruined the concept bus again with outdated front door design...
Why would one have a slanted bar when the entrance is bloody flat? Haiyo.

That's not the point dont you get it. The point is current DDs are not suitable for feeders. Period. When there are better alternatives out there (i.e. tri door) it then does unjustice when LTA DELIBERATELY chooses to neglect the option, or delay its entry.
Mark my words. LTA never delivers its promises. 2018 is merely yet another empty promise. Our bus system is going to shit with the current bunch of imbeciles in thr office...

most of those CDGEs are still in good shape with fast acceleration good ac etc.. better buses than even the enivro and wright

The existing B9 order would complete registration over the next few weeks..
No more orders of B9s subsequently anymore as LTA is has decided on A95 purchase instead
So wont have B9 with USB ports

Because CDGE is owned by SBST and they can anytime tune up the engine bro.
