It does depend on battery capacity. iPhones have lower battery capacity, which means it will charge faster than a Galaxy S4

Agreed

yes, it depends on the battery ampere hour capacity (Ah)...
The formula for Ah is as follows,
as you can see, the higher the efficiency of disharge path, cell voltage, number of cells, number of batteries in parallel, and depth of discharge allowed, the lower the capacity (Ah).
these factors (the components at the denominator) enable the phone to charge faster.
:. lower Ah = faster charging

My phone uses a secondary li-ion battery. Nominal Voltage = 3.85V; Charge Voltage = 4.4V; Energy = 11.55Wh (per discharge); Capacity = 3Ah.
The USB port voltage is 5V, while the current can choose 1A or 2.1A. Power = 5W or 10.5W. Suppose the values are per hour rating, it takes up to 139mins/66mins to charge my phone to 100%.
15 mins can probably increase my battery power by 10%/22%; yes, it would really help people whose phone battery is low/flat. :)

Did LTA miss out 854?

I don't need to know. Just be happy that if your battery runs out and you desperately need some charge, you have an alternative provided.
It is a great move - as usual our red dot proves that it is superior in public transport and new technological advances.

Just because you saw some of these on 854 doesn't mean they are perm on 854.

For a start maybe 2 buses per service in until SG5800 onwards registered

It can help passengers play Pokemon Go on the go.

Try it on 980 as well, especially on Sun/PH.

SG5790H USB replace SMB3608M since monday
Its very easy for 981 to pick load actually as its the only bus which enters Senoko Loop

How many A95s is LTA getting in exact?

Ain't too sure,Some say 120,Some say 100..Dunno which is true
5784 5793 5794 5795 in Amdep. 5763 also there.

According to a source as stated below, 20 MAN A95 are ordered by SMRT, followed by 60 units ordered by LTA. I don't know if there are any orders placed afterwards.
By the way, MAN A95 with Euro 6 engine will be launched in 2017.

I think if MAN wants to secure big enough orders from SG and HK, what MAN has to do is to equip A95 with an engine with smaller displacement.
it might be
SMB5889E - SMB5904U and also SG5745P-SG5748G ,not including SMB5888H
but if that is the case, then the LTA purchase would have 4 buses short

so the additional 137 buses with USB port might be B9TL?

MAN/STK will want to get as many Euro V A95s out of its factory as possible while they still can.
Once Euro VI comes along, MAN/STK will no longer have any significant advantage over other bus manufactuers.
Even if MAN's concept bus is accepted as the final design, it does not stop other bus manufacturers from submitting matching bids.

Why wouldn't MAN have any significant advantage over other manufacturers? Because of AdBlue? I think that is just a small part of the bus buying decision process for bus companies/authorities, as all the major bus companies that operate the A95s around the world already have AdBlue buses in their fleet. What operators are concerned about are overall costs, and that is where bus manufacturers truly compete on, instead of just a microscopic view on SCR/EGR.

It was a big deal for local operators. Call them microscopic then.
MAN/STK knows that and has that as their selling point on their marketing material.
MAN's three-door concept bus design can be replicated by any other bus manufacturers if that design is not patented. LTA does want to keep prices competitive.
Every bus manufacturer I know who are interested in supplying buses to LTA claims to be working towards lowering overall costs. I can't divulge any details because the big tender is coming up, but what I can say is differentiation under Euro VI won't be as great as you think.
Who knows, they might rely on brand differentiation and positioning because social media is currently all over it.
