if SMRT have bought 112 A95, then it will definitely issue press release....
Anybody see A95 at Amdep yet?

Better not give to AMDEP unless it learns how to deploy. AMDEP has been so lousy and deploying its PB and BSEP DDs. Just keep them in depot without deploying on any service. Only deployed on 854/857 as of now.
Lol,Only Yishun is their territory mah..I would like to see they deploy 3 A95s on svc 851

Every bus depot is a good bus depot.
I am sure there are reasons why not all bus services eligible for double decker buses have double decker buses deployed on them, as of now.
One reason could be that along the routes of many bus services, the trees are not yet suitable for double decker buses.

Not exactly. The height restriction caused by trees is very well-documented. If we say a route is DD suitable, it automatically precludes any low-lying trees causing height restrictions.

For example? Which service are you referring to? I don't think any of the deserving DD routes have an issue with DDs plying. Some of them already have DDs from other depots.

How many DD on 854 perm? 3 right?
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:How many DD on 854 perm? 3 right?
said 3 but most of the time seem only 2 running on this svc

There are many reasons why not all eligible bus services have double decker buses yet.
Another reason could be that the number of double decker buses SMRT has is not yet enough to deploy on every bus service eligible for them.
Bus service 180 is an example of bus services that is eligible for double decker buses but does not have them yet. For bus service 180, it could be that the roads it ply have smooth traffic and can make do with having articulated buses for high capacity.
I am sorry I am not able to provide more examples as my knowledge on bus services operated by SMRT is limited and I hardly commute on bus services operated by SMRT outside of where I reside.
All depots are the same. Except that AMDEP has not that much space and its very small thats why people say its not good. Also, doesn't mean that Yis/Sbw services will be under new operator soon in the future of SSDEP package doesn't mean that SMRT currently don't care about these services. They still need DDs and SMRT should not let Yis/Sbw services with heavily packed without DDs. Not fair with other areas.
tnx for info
Amdep must chop off more protuding roof to accomodate more DDs...I see only 6-8 lots suitable for DDs.
if LTA could look for another place nearby for smrt AMdep bus park just like woodlands? or smrt bus could be better if they park the buses in interchange

AMDEP does not want to take risk right now, cos most part of AMDEP are not DD friendly... So if more DDs are deploy to AMDEP/YIBP, there are higher chance of the BC forgetting the height limits and went to park at the restricted zone....
Is AMDEP gonna close when the new facility at Seletar is ready?
Hope at least they will take in 4 A95s to replace those A22s on svc 851 and 854.

yes but they dont even use all the DDs they have... 3-4 of them always SP.

u get the data from sgwiki? never ever trust what they edit there for SMRT deployment..... i alway saw 3605 on same timing and doing downroute at 7pm on sv857... but in sgwiki, it was reflect as perm 854?
And 3610 always seen doing 61 and sometimes 857.

Can transfer some duties of 858 to AMDEP ; create 858A(ends at Yishun Int). Have A22s/A24s running(From AMDEP).
Then transfer duties of 851/854 (back) to WLDEP ; using A95s/ADLs.
