SMRT trials MAN double-decker bus

  Different services have different needs... trunk vs feeder... even trunk vs trunk and feeder vs feeder all will have slightly different requirements.

  Having multiple models seems ok to me. Like how SBS at one point had O405, N113CRB and B10M complementing each other. That's why I always thought standardisation was a TIBS thing (ahem Hispano O405 ahem). Lol

  When I said standardise 1 model, I meant 1 model DD - enviro. I didn't expect them to allow Enviro and then A95. Lol sorry for confusion

  I rather see LTA give away those E500s and SMRT Citaros to other operators.SMRT maintain only A22s,A24s,A95s and OC500LEs beside buy VDL Euro V 300hp SDs

  5889e uses straight stairs. essentially KMB version in SMRT colors. in other words, feels way less cheaper and plastic. for example, the panels are all finished with matte and not just bare plastic.

  Depends also..but at least in terms of comfort, it's better than KUB(horrible vibrations)..

  same for the older batch of voith wrights.. most now all have very slow pickup and very underpowered, dk how they will be able to run for their 10+ yrs more of lifespan

  my initial prediction was about 120 units.

  SMRT might order more A95 (320hp) or even had its power to 360hp like its A24 (bendies).

  weird that I cannot hear much of turbo whitsle from 5889....Probably better insulation...Air con sometime cold sometimes like heater
