This is ridiculous since the stuff in our home is bought with our own money. I don’t believe that we should be held accountable for our parent’s debts! Furthermore, my parents are seperated. My dad havn’t been home for like 6-7 years, even though they are not officially divorced. Im prepared to fight this seizure of properties nonsense all the way. Can anyone please inform me if it is against the law to deny them? Or if it is within my rights as a singapore citizen to hold on to my own property?
Since you haven't severed you ties with your parents, this is called inheritance.
many people get positive inheritance, like properties, CPF.
Meanwhile, yours spit equally among siblings (mum-50%, rest spit equally) negative inheritance.

usually only banks and government related organization can do that. unless your dad also signed some legal documents to use the flat (if its under his name) as mortage to the loan. so this 'comapny' we are curious is wha company? what nature? as long as the home is under your dad's name and dad had indeed signed some shit then sorry to say bad things lah.
Not divorce but seperated ? So your properties may still be held jointly. Quickly go to a lawyer and have him apply for an interlocutory injunction for it.
If I am not wrong....
you will need to produce receipts or proof of purchase under your name.
i am not sure if you claim the items after or before the officer take away items.
Also, please ask your mother to file for divorce soon. Request the court to remove the debt from her name.
As long as your mom and dad are still married legally, the debts are jointly owned.
Please consult with a legal advisor...
Neglect is a valid reason for divorce. 6-7 years is a long time...don't wait any longer.
probably everyday look forward to weekend chiong hightea, so now got this type of problem cum here whine.
for mortaging propoerty i wonder if the propoerty is joint owned, the documents should have all joint owners signed on the line. but if the wife is occupant only then mayb not that bad. probably only need to vacant the place,
