Getting 70K from public fund is not something difficult, can be raised easily!
When comes to this sort of thing, Singaporeans show heart and donate!
But how to get it from public fund?
You have to let the media know and than the whole of singapore will know than they will donate.
Than the indonesia authorities will not dare to accept the money once the case is blown to the media..

I have downloaded this list before but believe it is outdated!Ask them for legal advice and see if they can put you into contact with our local authority and/or Indonesia authority/legal aids.
If everything fails and before you go, contact our Singapore embassy here. I believe it is under the purview of our Ministry of Foreign Affair. Better still, go there yourself to explain this case.
See if it can get an embassy representative over in Indonesia to accompany you on the prison visit.
I don't know if you know this. If the yanling possess more than the drug limit while consuming the drug - it is regarded as drug trafficking. I don't know the limit in Indon but let say if the limit is 30grams of drugs and she is found possessing 40mg - then she is regarded as drug trafficker.
Free legal aid lawyers are hard to come by - they are inundated with paper work. So if you so happen to find one - expect a lot of delays and frustration because free legal aid lawyers are too busy to attend to your case and even if they do they appear a short while and then go to the next case.

When I go over on Tues, then see how...But according to my friend who talked to the officer who handled the case,it states that Yanling is being charged with drug possession and consumption, absconding and overstaying.
When she was stripped and searched, the 8g of cocaine was indeed stuffed in her underwear.

As you can see from the way TS wrote , it is hard to say at this point what sort of charges she will face or the penalties she will get.
I am posting here with hope that her case is mishandled one and the Indon are out to extract money.
We have to see the world as it is. In Indo, you get terrorists charged, off the hook, recharged and off the hook repeatedly. It's a different world out there. That world is that reality is very much tainted with corruption.
Corrupt people don't give a damn if the money raised smell right or foul - money is money!

What are you talking about? This is not a fine. You want to openly ask for donations for a bribe? This is itself a crime.
Helping corruption is not allowed
But exposing this matter in a better and fair manner would make ppl think twice..
I've alrdy say on prev post or in SB, just wat's law... If one can escape, it's not law anymore

This is a very incredible raid. Did they actually strip everyone in the club?

This is a Law applicable to our country, right?
Other country may not have the same intent in meaning of their law as ours!

In Indonesia seems to me drug possession is more serious than murdering a so-called cult member. Last year a muslim extremist in Cikeusik, Sulawesi was sentenced only 3 months jail for repeatedly butchering a member of an islamic sect who is said to be a cult. Meanwhile an australian woman was caught with drug possession and sentenced to 10 years jail in Bali.

I suggest you read carefully what TS wrote. Indon asked for the 70K.
Maybe, he can clarify more on this 70K.
All I know is they wanted 80k but after bargaining,it was brought down to 70k.

YOU read carefully. Asked for 80K as a bribe, discounted to 70K.
How are you going to openly raise money for a bribe without breaking the law yourself?

I mean did they take everyone at the club to search? Or only take some people- was she suspicious in some way or they just want to tekan her?

All I am saying it that it can also be a setup!
Maybe, I am trying to give TS hope.
If it is really a setup than it is sympathy in Singapore for her!
What breaking of law? If donation is asked, it is over here and not there!

Ya lor. And I am sure she will definetly go to jail for a long time if this case is blown to the media as indonesian authorities will not dare to let her off for fear that they be accused and investigated for accepting brides.
(once the media knows and she is released or only given a light sentense, the speculation will be that the indonesia police, judge etc accept brides. So they lan lan also will give her a heavy sentence)

It is a crime that is committed in Indon and partially committed in Sg. You will be extradited to face justice there.
Eg if you are a Singaporean who prepares in Sg to commit a crime in the US, you will do jail time in the US.
Wait - she got caught in a night spot rite?
So how was she carrying so much drugs to be considered drug trafficking? I mean lets say the police raided a karaoke night spot and they barge into one of the private rooms and saw that the table was full of drugs. She could have just said that she wasn't consuming them and it all belonged to her boyfriend (not hers) - she was just a spectator.
I think the Indonesian police are so inefficient that they never even bother to conduct a drug test on her urine right? So they got no proof that she was consuming them. All she can just say is that she was accompanying this rich Indon bf and suddenly he took out all the drugs to consume them for himself - and she could do nothing to stop him.
not unless she was caught at home with a lot of drugs in her walldrobe or somewhere.

She was one of those chosen to go to the station. She dropped her IC and passport while trying to run when the police closed in.

Maybe she looks quite stoned or her facial expressions gave her away?Or she was chosen at random?
RT, as for now any update?
Everyone here is saying that you can grease palms in Indonesia....haha times have changed. It's getting stricter now. No doubt it still happens but if you grease the wrong guy, you will be in for a heavier sentence.
Then again, to get away from the law there, you need to be super rich, not just rich.
