How do people view girls with tattoos?

Hi everyone new to this site here! I'm feeling kinda vexed as my parents are against me getting a tattoo. While I understand their fear of unhygienic tattoo shops and dirty needles, I'm sure there'd be professional tattoo shops around in Sg. What concerns me more is how people would view girls with tattoos, especially when it comes to work in future or guys. I understand that we're, nevertheless, still in an Asian society. But I've always wanted a tattoo at my asscrack/lower back. I wanted my initials as my tattoo and nothing too big. Is getting a tattoo really that bad? I've been wanting a tattoo since I was 14 and I'm already 19!

My nephew has lots of tattoo and today he is in his mid twenties and he intuited that he regrets, cos he told that it is actually meaningless, just another ego trip, but now permanently scarred! He told me that he was just being sheep!

the tattoo that u want to get above the ass crack is called a "tramp stamp". where it comes from and why is it being called this is because last time, the women who behaved provocatively or engaged in sleazy business would get a tattoo above their asscrack or below their belly button to make guys turn on faster. also, it serves as a mark to let their customers remember them easily. their initials and butterfly motifs are widely popular amongst those girls.
nowadays, i still see them, sometimes, especially on the pinoy maids strutting around in orchard rd.

after reading the above, u would think that i am discouraging u to get a tattoo and probably i am uncool and uptight as your parents, but HELL NO!!!

i am a big fan of tattoos and piercings too and just as oscar wilde says, "One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art".

however, u must understand that this is singapore that u are living in and most people here are conservative. getting a good guy who accepts u for what u have on your body is easier than impressing your potential boss. if u want to go for your career, then u better not get tattoos that are visible to everyone. once u secured a job and knowing that the work environment is fine with u having visible tattoos or literally looking like a tattooist, then go for it.

on a side note, i really envy my friend. damn he's got them all over his body and limbs looking like a great piece of art and got a job that is alright with him having them. so inspired that i want a full sleeve on right arm and a full back portrait!

To me a tattoo makes a person looks trashy......not good......

What is better than the natural human skin...? Tattoo is an unnatural embelishment on the human form and the human skin.......

If you can keep your skin pure and healthy......I believe it is better......

But it is up to you.......

I think some tattoo with good decorations and good pattern can look cute.....but the thing is.....it is 50-50.....it can turn out good, or it can turn out bad.....or it can turn out good for some time and then you get bored with it........and regret it......or you may like it, but other people may not like it.....

Why not try temporary tattoo first.........

Because if you use real tattoo and regret it.......to erase it, it is much harder and much more painful.......

Besides, with temporary tattoo you can change the patterns so you dont get bored...

I think tattoo is a form of body art. Some may feel comfortable in engraving art on your body, some may not feel comfortable with it. After all, it process of getting a tattoo is easy and it's extrememly difficult to removed.

Like Maia Lee, she now wanna remove all her tattoos from her body. It's a painful and long process. You're still young now, so you may think getting a tattoo is cool... Now Maia Lee got a daughter already, she wants to remove all her tattoo on her body.

You see, when you're at different stages of life, you will have difference experience and way of thoughts. Think carefully.

btw all tattoos look good when you're young and fit. it will look more and more shitty as you aged.
