What's the point of paying so high price for a housing that has so much noise problems....prolonged noise can cause mental illness leh....move out and save yourself....

I very lucky,no noisy neighbours.
But if i got hor, i also do the same thing to them. Have a concert in my house.

about 12 years ago, I remembered when I was very young, singapore was very quiet, peace and harmony. Then the singapore govt start to invite guests into singapore, from foreign worker to foreign talent and expats. Singaporean, being acceptable, timid and easy going people, never make much of a noise as they thot this are just guest workers helping us in our economy.
Then suddenly the foreign tsunami begin, and not long later, these foreigners, who are suppose to be the guest of Singapore slowing and slowing become the master of this timid little country...and the stories goes on....
....There was a time, when people said that singapore wouldn't make it, but we did

Move out, no solve problem because what if your upstair neighbour move out and then move in with noisy neighbour?
Best is not to buy house, best is to RENT. So when you not happy with noise, can move out easily. If you buy, have to hassle with selling your place and buying new one.
Soundproofing is expensive. What spec? If you want to soundproof like sound recording studio can cost you a bomb and no guarantee you cannot hear footstep or knocking sounds

Yeah hor..what happened to those nice neighbours har? When I was younger, SG was more quiet...now everywhere I go there're noisy people....what happened to the old SG ?

to top up with the china noisy i had endure.. the kids those ard sec 2 and 3.. they often come to their grand parent house. now school holiday worst. they basically come everyday. and my room is just next to the corridor. they basically run and scream at the top volume of their voice. sometime the anger just makes me feel like grabbing them and throw them straight down from my floor to the ground floor. can you imagine.... sec 3 behave like some primary 4 kids. they are super hyperactive....

then move here also got these noise, move there got PRC noises, keep moving, by few years, could had moved all around singapore liao. Better buy a tent and go ECP, quiet, serenity, and sea view -

In UK, shopowners install a special speaker that can sound out annoying sound waves only youths younger than 17 can hear. They usually use this to scare off viagrants aka boh sias. -
