My step-mom also is this kind of people. She will say, "No! I remember its this blablabla"
What I do is, use the smart side of your brain and prove her wrong until she thinks that she is being stupid because she is going the opposite of the actual facts..
aiya, right or wrong also no $$, if people want to be right, let them be right lor

Well...since you girls decided to be friends in the first place, then there must be something positive about her and you that the both of you have remained as friends till now.
Like what the others have said, there are all sorts of people, so its either you accept it or tell her about it subtly. :) Yeah, try not to dwell on a topic for too long? If not it becomes a heated argument and not v good for both sides. :)

Thanks Jacy!
Yes she has many positive sides to her. One shortcoming is her insistence to prove herself right in everything, even topics that shouldn't warrant so much debate between two good friends.
I do try to remove the topic from our conversation, but she will insist on me providing an answer. But from now on, I'll just be straightforward and, at a certain point in the 'discussion', to tell her, "I don't want to talk anymore about this."
Yeah, that's awesome! She should know that if you don't want to debate on, then she should stop..because you still treasure this friendship :)

That's right, point to the dot, even website also got a dot com, why can't she just hv a dot in here talking.
My mentor once told me, people who try to prove/ or keep insisting that they are right are actually guilty concious people, they must had did something wrong, because they tend to overly wanting to prove their rights, end up with lots of slip words given away, which they themselves also did not notice it. Most of these people are great liar, however, if they can use their disadvantages into good use, they can be good cooker's/kitchen wares' sale peoples
they need the job, cannot lose must push everything away.
but end up a big loser
you like to use the word 'big', is 'big; all that matetrs to you?
Dont give chance to your friend. example, Your freind: talk talk talk. You: "Wait!! then you continue from where your friend stop,. Your Friend agin: " hello, it's my topic, why are you talking...You interupt again: "oh is it?? I din realise that, sorry hor...but you continue from where you left off giving no chance to your friend to speak..each time she tries to interrupt, you say "sorry, I wasnt listening. Then you continue again unitl she says she need to go home liao... Whew.... was that difficult?
