What to claim if hubby is penniless & jobless

My mum and dad are currently in the process of divorce. Cuz my dad refused to fulfill his duties as a husband & father. About 12 years ago, he lost his job and has not work since then. He refused to care for the family and leave all the expenses to my mum to take care. My mum has been enduring it for so long till she cant take it anymore.
As a wife, she has every right to claim maintenance fees from my dad. But whats there to claim if my dad had been jobless for more than a decade and no savings? The only funds he has is his CPF. Will my mum be able to claim full ownership for their matrimonial flat from my dad as a compensation since he has no money at all? Now their divorce process is heading towards the Meditation stage which is coming on next February.

Flat and CPF are assets. Claimable.
Claim is only claim, she can try to claim 200% , end of day is judge decide.

See your lawyer about making a claim, ignore the fact that he may be penniless.
When the claim is successfull, then get the lawyer to put a charge on any of his property, HDB flat included, for that is the martimonial home. When a charge is placed on the property, money from the sale of that property must be set aside for you.

Must wait for him to sell. The charge is registered to the property, so cannot escape when selling.

The Laws take no sympathy or empathy on your case, first of all, your father did not commit any crimes or abuse anyone, he just plain lazy, and in the eyes of the laws, laziness is not judgeable. In fact, the laws will relook into why your mom married him, and yet borne you. So, why then should your Dad gives your mom his assets when the cause of divorce is just due to your dad laziness.

1st: You CANNOT gain FULL control of the asset, the house. The maxium payout you will get is 75%
2nd: Then court won't and cannot take everything away from him.
If you think you can gain control of everything, thats just your wishful thinking.

Depend on TS age, if he or she is an adult, above 21yo, they get nothing, if still schooling, father will paid the alimony each month, if cannot, he go jail, then get fine and finally paid again. He do not even need to give you his asset if it is under his name. He did not commit adultery, caught in affair with another women, he did not abuse anyone, non take drug or gamble, drink or steal anything, he is just lazy. And lazy, unemployment and poor do not stand in any court witnesses stand, the court will throw the whole issue out

did he met with any accidents? Or was he appearance or mental ability scarred by any accident?
