Issue with foreigner neighbour in condo

Even foreigners have problems with foreigners in Sg.

If I know these FT pattern better, they won't stop straight away. They will test your nerves once in a while.

If there are more cases of foreigners vs foreigners I believe our dear govt will step in to mediate. Set up mediation centres for foreigners

sure, most talk to my brother, but before this, my brother already told them his intention during a committee meeting, all agreed that the indian family is making hell lots of noise in most of the weekend. Many thot my brother was joking, until he play the music. Till now, about 4 months from the incident, no more loud music, so peaceful.People do not comprehend what they are doing is wrong, because of these foreigners lives in private houses like big bungalow in their homeland, they never understand neighbour problem and the courtesy of living under one roof, because our govt sell condo to them, but never teach them courtesy, so let them hv a taste of what is living under one roof base on harmony, justice and equality for our nation, if not, they think this is India, and this indian rich are very ya ya in India one hor

I fully agree with your brother's actions. Your brother's condo is in the Amber area?
But your reasoning that they don't know... it's more accurate to say they don't want to lose "face" by giving way. Even if they don't wanna do something anymore, and they did it for the last time, if somebody told them off, they would do it again.

tit for tat is the best way to drill the ideas into these inconsiderate neighbours. my next door rent out whole unit and i have a change of indian to china nationals neighbours and all r noisy n neber use their eyes to observe our living style. love to bang door n gate n talk loudly on hp walkg on the corridors.
none know how to respect the singaporeans neighbours. one china idiot even bang basketball all the way down n you can hear which floor he is at, after 10pm. they dont respect the quietness in our neighbourhood and always try to disturb by their irritating behavours.
they think they own the place when they r just rentg. i dont give face to their stupid behaviours, confront and ask why they slam the door, quarrel, is it. these foreigners dont even know how to close a door quietly. i dont care how noisy their country is but in spore, they should live like us.

TS, maybe you unknowingly made the pounding noise when you are walking, you know when the heel bone bang on the floor..
But these FTs live in their own house back at home, so maybe they are not used to the occasional noise from walking.

cultural differences and sensitivity to decibels from different parts of the world...esp. ang mohs....they love quietness ...
this case developed only recently as TS has been staying for past 20 yrs...

Please not only angmos like quietness, it appliess to all across the board. Especially at night when it is very quiet the noise will affect sleep for some people.

What kind of flooring you have in your condo ? It could be footfall impact they are hearing.
Typically, a professional can install a noise detector in your neighbour's condo to record ambient noise. Usually if it does not exceed 50/60 db, ambient noise is normal and usually within acceptable range.. (depending on rules and regulations).
If the recorder shows higher db frequently, they have a legal case against you.
Forget about shouting and yelling to each other. Doing so will not solve anything.

all i heard was a gas tank banging on floor and some spanner tools tapping on ceiling.its even noiser than my spore work factory with ear plugs n ear muffs on!!:xthen after that i see n hear him moving some kind of structure heavy foot sounds and their door closed after that after some time.
they must be having a workshop upstairs!!!!for years!!probably dun need to declare taxes to IR8a.

If they are in fact operating a workshop upstairs, then they are probably violating zoning laws.

no time...needed to werk and i yelled at him in front of his mother n wife outside!reported him to police after that.by the time it settled...i had already immigrated.

outside his place were spray painted graffatti of money and strange things in red!

think i was already very lenient to him despite me shouting at him.but he is still making loud noises the last time i went back to sg for chinese new year.one would think he is preparing food items to be sold with all the pounding and stuff at 1am.

Uncle, for you, you can alway on your porn movie sound loud loud, those moaning sound sure to end all noises.

Some condos pipes are not well thru or got air inside, so everytime, someone use water, there is these bubble sounds or coin dropping sounds, it is not the neighbour making lots of noises, please check with your condo management, they use fake or poor quality pipes and contractors to build your condo, then charge you 1 million for it, end up everyday listen to pipe bubble music.
Those living near lift also can get alot of noises if the lift is a lousy one and the mechanism may not have any sound proof installation, end up every nite count the nos of lift trips, how to sleep leh.
Paid million near to open your eyes before buying hor

Singapore Cops only knows how to write report, for settling neighbourhood problem, they act blur one lah. I notice when I was younger, singapore cops were better, they really arrest people back to police station and talk, ask this and that, charge those really at fault or disturb others. But as time goes by, notice that Singapore cops are doing less and less, scare this and that, talk only but no action taken.
I once called police for a drunken in my pub who look for fight with my other customers, the police came, and the first thing they do, instead of taking the drunken man out, they ask for my IC, name, time of call, description of incidents, all for them to write a report that they attended my call and do their duties, I was so fed up, scolded them that they should arrest the problem in hand, not taking a cardboard file and start writing report, do you mean that if someone live is in danger, you can still write reports?? Silly police

Times and laws are different liao....the police must also make sure the public dun sue them for this or that mah....nowadays they are more careful....
