Like the old heck , stinky arse bloody shit neigbours upstairs, damn sickossss! In the beginning they denied and now they are still denying. They stay top floor and told me they are on top and can make noise to disturb neighbours. But still deny they are the culprits. my neighbour next door and the neighbour next few doors can hear their noise.
Everyday pound pound pound, can pound for more than 1 hour. Throw heavy objects on the floor, bang doors, roll heavy objects on the floor, hang clothing dripping with water to my unit, drag chairs, bang toilet bowl cover . . . .. . .
Tit for tat sometimes can be a good solution. the authorities are hopeless to solve the problems. Knn~!

They say it from your flat upstairs, you say it is not. They are furious enough to stomp upstairs at 1.30am., and you think they are insane. There must be something there.
Noise travels. Vibrations are transmitted. Shock waves are thrown about.
Is there a main road beside your condo? Does heavy vehicles passes there once in a while. Are there construction going on the vicinity? These need to be looked into because the neighbour below is definitely hearing the thump from his ceiling, and assume you are causing it. It is possible the thump is from somewhere else, transmitted through the reinforced concrete (RC) to that spot in the ceiling.
Town councils have records of cases where the residents complain of upstairs banging the floor or dragging furniture, but upstairs is vacant, or away on holiday.
Some neighbours can sit down together and discuss, some just handle themselves very badly. For the later, need third party to mediate.

Agree. When you are asleep or hardly awake at night, it's hard to know where the noise came from.

It is the whole family and relatives. The maid even. Think the maid is also encouraged to disturb. Once they make noise I went up then the blloody bro in law of the beastly old heck came to my doorstep to quarrel and stated they are above they can make noise to disturb. Those that make noise will usually retort, they cannot pound chilli ah, chop duck ah etc. or if they have children, will say children are like that wat. Noise makers seldom, deny they make noise. They will justify the noise they make.

You are right lol. Now my neighbours and I are suffering.
I don't mean they cannot pound . At least place something under the pounder to minimize noise, but they never. Also sometimes, and now more often purposely throw pounding handle (sorry don't know the right word to use) on the floor to disturb. If this happens once and twice it is not intentional, but more than that and now frequency increases it is obviously intentional. Children making no8ise with reasonable sound level within the day is fine.
Some neighbours are hoping that the old heck lady dies and we can be relieved of noise. sigh!

My brother's condo at Marine Parade also got a foreign indian family who use to call many peoples to eat at their house and play lots of indian bollywood dancing music thereafter till early hours.
So my brother, during deepavali, knowing that more bollywood music will be play till early morning, rented a Yamaha top speakers with high power amplifier from Adephi, altogther got 4 big speakers and 2 smaller ones, like live concert at Padang NDP, once the indian start their music only, my brother play our taiwan hokkien dance song at full volume, the whole condo precinct can shake, all the indians, ang mo, chinese, cheap foreigners who rented condo there or paid by their companies, all go silent.

ya, he disturbed the whole neighbour, all started to complain to the management and the guards on duties, then, my brother stop it, he just want the indian to have a taste of their own medicines. From there on, the message is clear, you loud, i more louder.
