Is it better to have no friends or fair-weather friends?

If you have fair-weather friends, you constantly feel depressed and disappointed because you are unable to rely on them. But the advantage here is that you have companionship when you are feeling lonely and bored.
But if you chose not to have any friends, you will constantly feel lonely because of the lack of companionship. But the advantage is, you don't have to waste your resources and time on fairweather friends.
If you have to choose between these two, which would you choose?

Some people prefer to be loners because having too many friends can be quite frustrating - the arguments, the disagreements, the lack of commitment and when friends come together to do business - is recipe for disaster.

Have as many friends and acquaintences as possible.
Friendship and camadarie comes in various degrees.
Some high, some low, some questionable.
But don't dismiss them all.
Just know who's who.

I would say that as you grow older and older, you get lesser and lesser friends, unlike kindergarden years, whereby the whole class or even the kindergarden are friends, but as we grown older, the trust and demand increase on the way you choose friends, in conclusion, naiveness breed friends.
Not that you friends as you choose to be alone, and die alone, but you need to have human interaction, all animals need to be herd together, that is the nature of it, even with no friends, constant interaction with another human is a must, otherwise you may end up in buangkok green anytime. If you find no other people to interact, come to my pub, I personally make sure you get interacted as a normal human does.

a friend in need is a friend indeed.
friends are those you can talk to, confide in one another and be there when one is down.
so those people who meet you for drinks, meals, movies, outing etc but never confide, neither there for you when you are down, is called aquaintances.
differentiate what is aquaintances and friends. same with relatives, who see you once a year in CNY gathering, these are relatives in name only. relatives also can be classified as close and distant isnt it.

No friends-You will be very lonely. It is kind of scary to be lonely. This is confirmed.
But seriously who wants to make friends with you, if you are always depressed and complaining. Everyone want a bright sun to brighten their lifes. Who wants dark clouds?

Ask yourself what you want in a friend.
All of us need sincere, understanding and caring friends. I will either write the fair weather friends off or keep them at arm's length. To me fair weather friends are a waste of time and money.

One poor uncle who alway patronise my Pub with no friend, no gal and simply a nobody, lonely and simple, just drink and go home sleep. Then one day, he kena 4D, i think 2nd price, suddenly, many peoples come with him, even gals also attracted to him, after about 3 months, he come alone again...life goes on. Talks about friends?? better go befriend the cat, dog or bird or fish.
