i am harassed. report police or find lawyer?

I still remember about 8 years ago me and my friends were playing card games at kfc,then got people around our ages comes and disturb us.I stay still my friends and I don't know what to do.While those paikia keep disturbing us,touch here touch there.I sensed somewrong at that time.Feels like some gangster from dunno where.At first friendly,talk nicely then they ended us call us names scolds us vulgarity we scared at that time lose face dun want to leave,while continue playing.Some how that guy made me really angry I held him and ended up quarrelling.I went into the KFC those guys outside still staring at us,because the manager let us in.But those boys still outside starting at us.He still say going to get people to confront us.
After a while,we went to the NPP talk to the policeman.He just told us this kind of things very typical,just give advise aiya dun it too seriously la,then told us some stuff how the police functions like within 30mins can reach the scene,never even file a formal report just go home any thing crop up just call 999.
2nd issues.
There is someone i know a regular who signed up to the army not too long ago.Recently because of his high paying salary keep making fun of me a student.There was once last year I just made him a little angry he got very arrogant and proud and start saying i waste my parents money,say i dun deserve this,u this u that for few days.U can read the rest here.
Regularly he still send sexual abusive messages and things like death threat that can be funny but that doesn't implies i am happy with what he says.Recently he emotional outburst comes quite regularly,like for example some unhappy stuff trigger his memory he not happy he just scolded me,or things that made him happy such as saf day,he will make fun of me.At times cannot sleep in peace.

I HAVE THOUGHT about reporting to the police for nuisance but i guess it isn't worth it leh,can destroy mutual friend ties.I heard that police can't do much right.Cannot do anythign right.Need lawyer to send letter?

8 years ago story, please pack it, wrap nicely and throw it out of your life.
Now onto the regular who sends guys sexually abusive messages, SMS "Fuck off, chee bye." and cut off contact with him. You're not his emotional punching bag or owe him a living.

Hmm. Are you serious ? 8 years ago stuff you want bring up ?
Second case: Dont delete those messages. Report to mindef or to his unit as harrassment. He will get into serious trouble, delay his promotion, get punishment all that...

Ok, let me give you a 8 years ago answer, at that time, I was about 13 to 14yo, there was less foreigners and also just after the SAR epidermic, my grandma told me not to go out often, so the most I can go it joo chiat and katong shopping centres, at that time, also got KFC, it was finger licking good for me, now I prefer the katong roti prata, and then, there was these occasionally gang fights here and there, police came, just take particular and then zoom off, unless if someone get stabbed, they will just call the police. I was a wonderful and colorful neighbour I live in till now, at nite, all kind of funny stuff can happen, i remember there were lots of massage parlour along the joo chiat road, and one can end up at the wrong kind of massage, I use to make frens with those PRC gals, they adored me, I attend Haig's gal school, just next to my house, so i can sleep late, good for my complex....
