I washed my contact lens with tap water?!?

I'm currently using Acuvue daily soft contact lens and I am new at using contact lens, so I didn't know that I am not supposed to use tap water to wash the contact lens!
I heard that using tap water to wash contact lens would cause bacteria to enter a person's eyes and the person might become blind.
What should I do now?!And I have already put the contact lens in my eyes earlier! What should I do now?
I think the bacteria has already entered my eyes?!

there's a reason why there's such thing called a contact lens solution for you to use to wash ur contact lens..

Seems to me that the people here lack common sense to understand that I am washing my contact lens with tap water because I dropped it on the floor.

People can't read your mind. You are not expected to write a full essay, but you cannot expect people to fill in all the blanks correctly. Really, what was in your initial post that suggested anything about your dropping your lens?
Seriously, would it have been too difficult you to simply add the line: 'I dropped my contact lens on the floor'?
What you did was a bit like SMS-ing 'You smell' to your boyfriend without adding '....wonderful today, darling'.

She(I think) dropped the lens but still follow the prescribed frequency ma, what's so sinful? Anyway if any irritation comes up, just throw the washed lens and wash your eyes with water. Rest your eyes before wearing new daily lens.

just go to the nearest watsons or guardian or any optical shops to buy saline to wash.
and always bring a small tube/bottle in your bag for just-in-case.
i love it when ppl in crisis still can spend time come forums to announce to the whole world

Dun go swimming next time, so much tap water,
using tap water to wash contact lens only may wash away the lubricant and its softness if u apply too much pressure. It may irritate a little of your eyes. IMO, it is ok to wash with tap water and use it temporarily unless you have spared one. Probably carry with you a spare.

I never use contact lens, scare spoil my eyes, those colored ones, many are fakes, but I did see people use water, only when there is no solution available, it still works, but do wear it for too long.
