Stressed with all the projects -.- Give me a break.....

I am currently studying 1st year in temasek polytechnic. It is really stressing me up.. So many projects , i just finished one project and there comes another.... Reports and here come another reports.. What i hate the most is !!!!!!!!! Presentation..... Every week got 2-3 presentations... I feel very inferior when it comes to presentation as my english is not as good as my mandarin... So i will stutter and stammer when i speak.. I really envy those from my class who came from english speaking background...

It would stand u in good stead to understand this lah - u cannot change to world to conform to what u think it was or ought to be. Accept your shortcomings, dislikes, and work towards what is possible.
Otherwise, today it is a course, the next time it could be a job, a gal , a relationship - one can go on piling layers to justify what one is. it does not change anything. However, unlearning one's ways makes a difference.

IF you think poly life sucks, wait till you get to NS or work. Try to de-stress, listening to music, hang out with friends etc etc

well, i known quite some people who stay in the north or west that also took so long to travel to tp. take figure bus, then take train from west til east, then take bus. my friend used to stay in school to do his work projects till 11pm and rush for the last train, then woke up for 9am class or submission the next day. it will be worser for fyp as some camped in sch overnight and hide from security checks. and they graduated. i dont see whats the problem, life's like this.unless u want to quit and join another poly near your home... but seriously i dont reccomend, u will need 2 years to do ns. dont waste your time.

Haiz. Like that oso u stress ah? Next week, I am going to Beijing for 2 weeks. Then I only got 1 week before I pack my bag and go off to USA for presentation. Talk about stresss.....

The key thing abt projs is to be consistent in your effort to do them.
As for your english, u'll improve as u use it more often. Talk more with your frens in english! :P

Keep trying and working hard. You'll find out after it all that your language skills have improved and you managed to do well after all your efforts.

Apart from asking to hang on, not much stuff to say...
Afterall, next time when u go out work, it will be worse... you'll have to juggle ur time between, work, family, friends, gf/wife/family, etc etc... life will go fast pace, wont slow down to wait for u... if you cant take poly now, how are u going to take university or working life...?

lol.. these stress is to harden you up. Seperate you from those that can handle it and those that can't. Weed out the weak! N only the strong graduate. xD

English poor, so what? You'll only get better as you present more and more. Just keep an open mind and learn from your classmates while they're presenting too. Don't just flood your mind with "damn, why are they so good when I'm so bad at this". Learn! Otherwise ten years down the road you'll still be feeling sorry for yourself.
And anyway language is only one thing. You don't need to be very good in the English language to be a good performer. As long as you have a reasonable grasp of it, as long as people understand the message you're trying to convey, I think that's good enough and you should focus on your other strengths.

You go poly for what??? what is your objective of going poly?? why are you in poly?? go figure it out before you come here to make noises.
Let get this clear, poly is a place to get educated and trained, if you get tire of all these training in presentation, then give up lor, the gates in poly are alway wide open. If I am your lecturer, you guarantee I give you 10 presentation per week to wake up your stupid idea, do you know how much times I hv to present to those uncles everyweeks just to get a business deal...everyday.

me, a secondary 1 student, have what jalan kayu food project, then what english chess project, then what japanese occupation project, and i have to read the lame animal farm.

its really easy for presentations. especially poly. almost like a breeze

and it fun too, unlike real business presentation, you really need to be on yr top mark and really for some unwelcome questions. And if you cannot answer or answer without facts, your boss will be staring straight thru you eyes as tho he/she can see your undies.
