  To forget someone, a person must learn to accept the that someone is gone or does not harbour even a single ray of hope that the person will come back to you.

  Hoping and wishing the person will come back to you only will cause you more pain.

  Is not easy but somethings acceptance of the things in life is the only way out, forcing or enforce your will on others will only cause pain and suffering to both party.

  Our brain is not like cpu or some chip that can be erase and gone forever, the neurons in our brain are not mend to erase memory once and for all, it will leave a memory of kind no matter how you much you wanted to erase it. However, our brain can be trained and nurtured to be mature enough to think wisely, and that, I believe should be the way you move on.

  no offence to TS but what if in the situation she is trying to forget some relative who recently passed on? are u trying to mean that she can find a replacement to be her relative?
