ok....u like this person who oso like u...and there is something he wants u to change...
it is itself a condition..and if he really minds about it...may well be so that he has positioned u in his mind or heart...but not in the strict sense of love...
love - not in this way...the truest love is accepting who one is than to change it if it is a part of that person's attributes..than a kind of habit...

Is it for your own good or for his/her own good ?
If ask you to stop the vices, ofcors it's because they care about you lah.
But if ask you to change your character to suit them, then ofcors it's for their own selfish reason lah.
There is no such thing as unconditional love between a couple.
Blinded by love does not equal unconditional love.
The only unconditional love is from a child to parent. Or a parent to child. However, there are also selfish children and/or selfish parents practising conditional love lah.
From young, our parents keep telling us we should find someone who loves us unconditionally. The reality is, only your parents is/are capable of such love to you...
Go and ask your parents , they themselves cannot even practise unconditional love to their own spouse, YET they ask you to seek a unicorn for a mate.

This is not love but something else pretending love. One has one's own images of life, love and etc in one's head and is projecting it on another and trying to square a circle. It is needs pretending to be love. It will be constant stress and emotional turmoil. To sacrifice oneself to be in a .... is utter folly. It does no go away, it will surface n manifest itself in a situation/cirumstance. Where it is denied and unreconciled within oneself - it will have being dsyfunctional. It takes lots of courage,conviction to be. Love does not bind, it is something else pretending love that binds and destroys a relationship/marriage or what have you. The poetry is gone and now it is prose - hence the tussle to be! PS - One brings home a dog and wants it to behave like a cat or be human. This is the neurosis of today's so-called modernity.

Lets ask everyone
1) someone takes a bullet for you?
2) Someone willing to kill the person you hate?
3) Someone willing to be your servant?
4) Someone willing to give his or her kidney for you when yours failed?
5) Someone willing to give all his or her money to you?
6) Someone scolds you when you are in the wrong and hopes that you will change?
7) Someone who have sex with others in front of you and turns around and says he or she still loves you?
8) Someone who slaps you and kicks you at one moment and goes down on his kness to beg that you forgive him or her actions. Imagine repeating this cycle for years.

out of those options....i'd pick 1) and 4), but i sure hope it's alot more.
