many sg man or boy need to tio teach too. can teach them how to be a good man or good husband, good father.
Cooking is important for everyone, not just girls. Otherwise we can only eat raw food, which is dangerous if you eat non-vegetarian stuff.

Good wife means must cook and do house work ?
Which cave you crawl out from ?
Your mother cook for you, wash your dirty underwear for you is because you are her children.
Your wife will do the same for your children, not you, understand ?
You marry your wife.. not make her your maid, understand ?
R you so stupid you cannot learn to cook and do your own house chores ? What have your mother been teaching you, how to wank ?

That will depend if you want a wife to stay at home and look after house/kids
Or you want a wife to help bring in the bread & butter as well
And I still stand by the fact that those mail-order-brides also see $$ very big
If they don't see $$ very big, they would hv just married their own countrymen instead of offering themself out as mail-order-brides. It's just that if you compare their standards & wants to SG, due to the disparity in living standards, it seems much less.
I bet if you go to their local forums, there will be Vietnamese men bitching their women like what we see her all the time
You are in agony?
aiyo but my girl frens all knw how to cook lia0
or do household work
Re: SG girls
I beg to differ, to the male Singaporeans in this forum. Many Singaporean women and girls, especially teenagers too, CAN and WILL cook, if asked properly or if it's because of their duty to their family. I have been cooking alternately with my mum and sometimes dad too, ever since Lower Sec sch days, ever since we all learnt home economics, for my then grandma (she suffered from Parkinson's Disease ---- a miracle, she survived 12 years, died from pneumonia) cos she's my most beloved person in the whole wide world. I still remember how my grandma hid the cane in the nook and cranny between the gaps of the bedrooom wardrobe from my mum when she wanted to cane my younger brother and I. Even my younger brother, now 27 years of age (I turn 29 this Nov), knows how to cook to survive and even made a chocolate milo-like ice-cream before years back when he was in Lower Secondary. :)
And we're all lacto-vegetarians since 1993, now mostly organic vegans. Optimistic teachings of culinary art ought to be passed down from our grandparents' and parents' generations --- that's why there are SO many cookbooks stocked in Popular bookstore, Big Bookshop etc.
To those SG girls out there who're "spoilt" and don't know how to even cook a simple "rice, 2 dishes n 1 soup" for loved ones, I say, BUCK UP!!!
Yes she replied with her heart! Well said~!

I can cook, but when I cook, my family member alway got diarrhea, so they ask me to stop cooking

I would say it depends on what you are looking for.
If you want a trophy wife, expect her to be very high in maintenance and not want to do housework in fear of spoiling her $150 manicure.
Most girls in SG actually know how to cook and do housework. But knowing and wanting to do are 2 different things.
Easiest excuse is “I don’t know”
Anyway for mail-order-brides there are problems like wanting money all the time for their family back in “insert country name”, differences in cultures, unable to contribute to family income etc. Plus, can you be certain that they will not be influenced by the glitter of city life in Singapore and develop the wants of a Singapore girl?
One thing though which I think SG girls lose out to girls from other countries is that they do not know how to ‘Tei’ or work their way around a man’s heart.
SG girls are treated equally and presented with the same opportunities as guys. Therefore, they tend to be more straightforward and not try to work around a man’s heart to get her way, but seen to come forth as demanding it, or they don’t even bother asking but go purchase it with their own cash. In this way, I think that is why SG girls are seen as more demanding and unreasonable and less feminine. However, if you look at it from another angle, we are actually less manipulative. Doesn’t help on the attitude that most SG girls are independent and able to stand on their own feet too and know their rights that they neglect to make their guy feel wanted.
The other problem is that guys are still brought up in Singapore as the provider and protector of a family unit, which in the end result in this mismatch of ideals and expectations.
Well, Sg gal are also brought up by Sg men, their father, so if the father dote her, it is not we gal fault of not knowing how to cook, problem goes back to the sg guy, the sg father, and most sg guy also dunno how to tackle a sg gal, end up, taking the easy way out, looking for paid foreign gal and wife, which most aim to be citizen here rather than love him or helping him financially.
At the end of the day, it's society and parents that shape the ethos and characters of our young. Unfortunately, I feel that Singapore is not just meritocratic but more of elitist. Our focus is extremely lop-sided towards materialism. The one thing that the sg guys get to go through that is different from the gals is NS. In a way, it provides 2 years of an entirely different perspective.

Society and the way the citizens behavor is shaped by the policymakers here, and that is the govt. So, whenever the govt said, why there is less marriage, less birthrates, or less people willing to take up lower job and rather be jobless, they are actually asking themselves. But sadly, they did not know it, their policies is what shape the society today, they should be asking themselves, what to do? not why like this and like that kind of act good but shit brain
