Single & want to buy 2-rm HDB flat

I have decided not to get married and would like to apply for my own 2-rm HDB flat once i turn 35. If I have a friend who wants to stay with me, must he/she also be 35 years old at the time of application?
I understand that if I do not wish to wait till 35, I must apply with a family member. Any other options for me? I do not want a rental flat as I cant paint or customize the flat to my own preferences.
And I only want to have a non family member to stay with if I need a 2nd applicant.

Then ask yr family member to join apply with you lor, can be yr granny, mother, sister or whoever who do not hv a flat under their names.
Anyway, 2 rooms only give u one room and one toilet room leh

the basic rule is you must formed a family in order to purchase resale hdb flat for those below 35 yrs old.

1. If a single Singaporean wants to own HDB apartment, they must be 35 years or above at the time of application.
2. Occupant has no age requirements.
3. Refer to number 1 if you do not wish to wait until 35 and do not wish to have a co-owner. Otherwise, you can sleep near the longkang.
4. If a co-owner is not a family member (family nucleus), under the fiance/fiancee scheme you have 3 months to get married at the point after you had taken possession of the HDB apartment. If the co-owner is the same sex, or not eligible for marriage, you cannot apply. If co-owner and owner are not married within the 3 months, then HDB will re-possess the flat and maybe put many hantu inside.

Actually single, buy single room can already,...why need 2 rooms. Can put up tent at ECP, no bad, sea view some more

Salary too high. Can't buy single room HDB.
Note: Single room HDB (Living room + Kitchen + toilet / no bedroom)

no store room olso, at ECP , you got a large grass porch, free usage of toilet, free guard (rangers) guarding you, and free swimming and fishing.

So my advise to you is to rom with your friend.
Of course your friend must be opposite sex.

im a guy..sorry to disappoint you goodheart.
i saw the floor plan models for 2-room flat. the bedroom can fit at least one queen size bed. if i live alone means i need a single bed and imagine the space i have. even the living room is spacious too.
if i end up with 3-room flat, i may consider renting the 2nd room out. Im ok if the tenant is a girl but she must be sure she dont mind staying with me.
no point getting married for the sake of getting my own flat. wait halfway sure divorce then got problem with the flat.

oh, a guy, why so old still dun want to marry?? Get a aunty to marry lah, can buy bigger house and later sell, more profits.

want to marry but my situation dont allow me to. now want to have wife, must have lots of money or else fat hope any girl want to marry me. some more, i also hate kids.
anyway, there is more to life than marriage. since i got no chance to get married, just carry on with life as a single man. no commitments, can go sleep around if i want to and Im not unfaithful to any one but of course must have protection. being single also means I can save more money.

if you wanna a 3 room flat and lease out the other room, both parties must comprimise and tahan each other's pattern...... if you cannot commit to this, forget it.
getting a 2 rm flat is more than enough then..... but iirc, 2 room flat only for lease to old folks, so don tink you can get it despite your high salary......

2. What is your basic monthly salary?
3. Who stay with you now?
4. How old are you?
5. Any cars?

Did you try dating agencies like SDU to look for a girl who is willing to accept you?

goodheart: i dont fancy dating agencies. I dont even like the idea of being introduced to a friend's friend. I prefer me & the girl to meet each other by chance.
overall, I have to say I have nothing to offer girls if they marry me. What I can give them is simply not enough in today's world so thats why I guess my fate is sealed.

nope. none are interested in me. my most recent ex female colleagues are all graduates and way too young for me.

2. i earn 6 figures

4. I am only 25yo
