  Be fair and just. Everyone is looking out for their OWN interest. Look beyond the he says she says.. and use your own brain.

  Your mom has a husband, your father should be the one fullfilling her needs, not you. If your mom is lonely and neglected, you need to go talk to your father and ask him to step up.

  So.. it's not that Mommy boy is not "manly".. it's just that.. a mommy boy is probably not very "smart"...

  Intelligence is something women are attracted to... so that's why we don't like mommy boy.. because they are kinda dumb.

  An example of a mommy boy is ..

  You and your gf is out on a evening date after work. You informed your mother you won't be home for dinner.

  Half way through your romantic dinner with your gf.. your mom calls and demand you go home.. because she cooked dinner.

  A mommy boy will dump his gf at the restaurant and run home to have dinner with his mom.

  A NON-mommy boy will remind his mom he is not coming home, and request his mom to keep the food in the fridge or save it for his lunch the next day.

   

   

   

   

   

  
  Actually sista, mommy's boys are more akin to women, as their gf, if you know how to act like their mother, you can control them easily. And most mommy boys listen to woman more than to man, so, in a way, they do not end up flirting and going out nightly with those dirty guys of his, that is a good point for whoever is his gf or wife.

  Just imagine, for nearly all his young life, he had been listening and obeying his mother, psychological speaking, he will listen to us and lean toward our advices and command, more so, when his mother passed away, we can have total control of him, can ask him to work, wash dishes, sweep floor, care for the garden, dogs and also cut the grasses...where to find such man now a day.

  Haha, i wun really argue that this is a bad thing. It really depends on the type of girl you're after. Some girls appreciate men who are close to their families - i guess it shows a grounding of sorts. 

  I guess the crux of the matter isnt so much "loves his mom" as "being highly dependent on his mum". I once went out with a guy who was 26 years old and didnt know his CPF number and couldnt fill out forms cuz his parents always did it for him. Lololol. & he's a grad from NTU. I guess its all about extremities :)

  if he couldnt fill out anything and hes from NTU then hes senile already.not surprised he will goto a nursing home at age 30.

  Depend, listening to parents may not be a bad thing, but for guy, we gal expect them to be more independent. I would rather said, they should respect their parents, weight the issue and give independent decision. There are lots of divorce or break up cases due to wife unable to get along with mother in laws, and the funny thing is mother in laws are also girl, but fail to understand the importance of giving man the strenght to be independent and be streetsmart. However, the society also can affect the bringing up, with one or two kids, higher income, parents tends to over protect their kids, and the kids tend to be less independent when grown up.

  Angel - you brought up a very interesting viewpoint that I had only just realized was true !! Mother and daughter in laws really do not get along cuz the MIL generally do feel that the girls can't take care of their sons.. lolol.. I've always felt that this was such a generalization till my brother got attached recently (as in seriously seeing someone) and my mum completely flipped out. She became such a possessive and psychotic headcase.

  A word of wisdom from me, There is only one mother for you but there can be many wives. If your mother is gone can you replace her? The woman that gave birth to you. But if your wife is gone you have a choice to replace or not, to replace or not. So think it over. it is a child's responsibilty to take care of the parents who brought you into this world. She can go hungry but she will never let the children go hungry. I guess in this case the woman you chose don't really understand the true meanng of a son's love and responsibility towards a mother.
