Please DO NOT pay up. By paying up, your family risks another loan shark attack next time and then you've wasted all the money. It's never easy to change a person's character and if you're counting on a person to change his character and risks all the money, then it's pure stupidity. Besides, when you pay up, you finance these people to continue hurt other familes, in other words, you're sponsoring them to do what they are doing to your family, but towards other families. These loansharks or runners deserves to go to jail and be caned. Let's see how much runners they can find once most of them go to jail. Then the loansharks 100% can be tracked down, it's just the police want to do it or not. Then tracked down, they go to jail many years, all families no need to pay anymore, that's the best solution. But to pay up, it's damn damn damn stupid way to resolve the problem. Do you stay in HDB flat?

I hate loansharks so much if I see them, even none of my business I will also catch them and make them go jail. If everyone in the community works together, more runners will be caught and all go to jail. When runners know the risks, then loansharks have to pay them more, and then it won't make sense anymore for them to continue the business.

I think i had given you the best constructive suggestion, I not criticising him good or bad, but I want him to suffer for what he did, so that he wakes up from his bad deed, as I quote, "a man never see his casket, will never shed a tear" meaning, he must go thru the punishment, then hope he become a better person, and I also know, as a father and brother, you tends to protect him, but ask yourself, are you destroying him further?Just report to police lah

It is very stressful if you owes them, cos you never know what will happen to you and your family, both in house and on the street, and because of these uncertainties, the stress build up everyday. And these can lead to mental illness and family problems
