I feel stressed out totally. I'm serving NS right now, and I get a mere $420 per month. I graduated from a diploma course from a local poly and got a place in a local U. I need some good advice on getting scholarships since my GPA is quite bad (3.45).
I'm serving my NS now, and my last resort would be to sign on since I totally don't have any sponsors anymore. What other scholarships/options are available for me? totally lost.
Any kind souls, pls advice me if you know.
I wonder whether foreigners have scholarships from PAP regime to study at local universities.

Do you have any strong points outside of academic studies? Examples will be sports awards or extremely high rate of participation in community services. There are a few scholarships which are related to these areas.
Anyway, you can have a look here:

Aside from scholarships, another few possible options will be to take a bank loan, or sign on with SAF / MOE.
Taking a bank loan can be risky, if you cannot find a job soon after you finish your studies. Signing on means that you are bonded. If you break the bond, things are going to get very nasty for you.
You can also try getting bursaries, apply for work-study scheme where you help out in the uni, or get help from your parents and use their CPF (You will need to pay them back bit by bit every month once you have graduated).
I had a GPA of 3.875, all my scholarship attempts failed. =(
Finish up your ns first.
For your info, do you know that SIM have offered 2 Scholarships value up to $100,000 where you can choose to study overseas or local, but must have GPA of 3.5 out of 4 and I think it depend on which degree you will study (that why it is better to check if SIM approval on support the area you want to study). Next I thought that just recent SAF have issued an "National Service Recognition Award" up to $9000 for NS-men that can be used for your buying housing support or education although this money is deposit to CPF. More info : http://www.mindef.gov.sg/imindef/resources/faqs/nsra.html , you might like to discuss this with your In-Charge about this.
Finally, have you thought of becoming an propert agent as another source of income ? Good thing is you decided your working time and depend on property market, you "might" get good earning ! The only problem is nowaday I heard you need to be "certified" before you can join in their trade.
you can sign on, get a saf study bond.
or you can sign on with MOE, be a teacher. They offer full sponsorship for an teaching degree, bond period 4 yrs.
Not intending to dash your dreams, but these are the closest things to scholarship available for you, since 3.45 isn't exactly an outstanding gpa to deserve a scholarship.
