My neighbour is an ex-hooker, she just moved in about a week ago, somehow another neighbour recognised her as working an a bar a few years ago ..... she's working in an office now, the other neighbours are getting so worked up about it !!!!
I don't get it, what's the big deal, she's started a new a life already why are on her case so much, i kinda feel sorry for her ..... i have seen some peeps giving her dirty looks and being mean to her in the lift

i think those neighbours who saw her working in the bar, were actually bar goers and more afraid that she will exposed their doings..

work in a bar does not mean must be a hooker, me also work in bar mah, there are so many tasks and jobs in a bar, hookers actually outsider who paid the bar bosses so that they can mingle and prey for stupid men in the bar to part their money, they are the bar employees hor.

btw, there is a occupation in Jurong ice factory also know as hooker, these men, muscular but ugly hook ice in blocks everyday into lorries so as to send ice to all over singapore including my pub here, and there are also women working as helper. -

most importantly is that she should not mind those perceptions...and work hard towards realizing her dreams and true life objectives....she might as well give up and go back to her old ways if she has been contented with life as a "hooker"...

the answer is yes I do like her as a friend, she is smart, funny and not a petty person, we did talk about her past
she came from a bad home ( abuse , sexual and physical )
it was a long time ago , she had no money and no where to live, she worked as a hostess( cos they paid daily ) to make rent and pay bills until she got education and job so that she could quit. Never had a real boyfriend during that time, just supporters "sugar daddies" who helped her out financially ,over a period of time like a year or longer but never per hour sex

how about per day sex?? I believe we should give everyone a chance in their life, be it a hooker, a yellow ribbon guy or a former bad gal like me.

I am going back to vietnam ( where I work ) soon. I kinda feel bad cos we have a really good friendship . Dun want her to feel so alone

Hey Vic, I'm so happy to hear you are so lovely to her. In Singapore, unfortunately, we are bred to conform, bunch together and gossip, if I may be so bold to say. Do stay in touch with her. Everyone has their own story, we are in no position to judge. She seems more pleasant than others without the traumatic background. =)
