g'day to all from the aussies. i'm new to this forum but not to the game or the anime/manga. juz happen to stumble into this forum and notice there isnt much s2k user around. althou i'm not a veteran at this game but i and safely say that i'm a s2k specialist. here's my gear shift point for the s2k.
7000 -> 2nd
7800 -> 3rd
10,000 -> 4th
red line -> 5th (about 122km/h)
red line -> 6th (about 140km/h) except on uphill climb. change on 136km/h
side notes:
the quickest start for a s2k is to hot start it. during race, dun shift 6th unless u have hit at least 136km/h. lower then that and the tacho drops below powerband (around 7100rpm). s2k r known to under into a corner. to prevent this use brake tap, down-up-shift, down shift drift or feint drift. during drift, use dynamic drift or best, zero counter drift. also s2k when driftting are prone to a) long distance slide or b)power over drift coming out of the corner. to keep these to the minimal, soft paddle or half paddle the accel when about to hit apex (dun worry about the rpm drop, s2k have enuff rpm to keep in power band) and smoothly feed in power coming out. when done properly one will notice the car has enuff power coming out to shift to next gear (much earlier then most car especially in 4th gear to 5th, so quick that u actually can hit 6th gear almost instantly at tsuchi after the old patch when going inbound).
