Using Trueno AE86 for uphill...

Can the 86 be good for uphill tracks? and if so, then is there any change in it's shift points for uphill tracks??

Trueno AE86 is good in uphill tracks with 12,000rpm tachometer like Akina.
For the shift points in uphill tracks, u must ask Slash_Trueno because he's the Singapore best Trueno AE86 racer.

just look for the topic saying shift points in this forum and just use the shift points there... happy using... -
thanks guys... and I already now about the shift point post... but I tot that's just for downhill tracks... cos when I play uphill... I find that it's harder for my 12k rpm engine to rev up so high.... esp at the higher gears... feels sluggish... I've been using those same shift points that I used for downhill... that's y I tot maybe uphill might have another set of shift points...

Used to get 3.08.... tried the new style... best is only 3.09 - 3.10... if I buang, even worse timing... can't clear the 5 hairpins nicely leh... sometimes the car gets steering lock... the S turns before the sharp hairpin to turn right... first left no problem... it's the next 2 turns, sometimes steering will also lock... All this is DH btw... hehe...

Hee.... did something interesting the other day... I was challenged by this kid... last time, he used a Gdb... I got thrashed... this time, he also used an 86, and he managed to keep up with me... we went Akin DH, but one the first match, I misjudged the S curves and got overtaken...
On the 2nd match, I did something even I didn't know could be done... I turned in just right, and my car went into the gutter... and FOLLOWED it all the way for that first left turn... I was scared I would hit the wall at the right turn, so I got out of the gutter and cleared the remaining curves... the thing is... I want to know whether it's possible to follow the gutter ALL the way for those initial 3 turns....
Even my fren who was watching behind got shocked... hee... but it's only a tyco... 1 shot only... hee...

trueno is good in akina dh wet...your turnings mentioned can all be done with all car types..just a matter how you play only..

Hrm... k... but I still can't seem to clear the first of the 4 hairpins... always keep hitting the outside wall... then my speed drops till below 110km/h... hai~....

eat the gutters...if you zhun zhun eat and come out..its very fast..

my first entry into the 1st hairpins always results in me scraping the outer side of the track... if not, then I'll slow down too much, and have to go to 3rd gear.... sian... can't hit the gutters properly either... at most, just brush them at the hairpin's apex.... hai~...

ae86 is good in feint drift...try to feint drift into the hairpin...it can go in in 130km and more...

its difficult to explain loh..you need to see people play then you know better...got chance see slash play..you will be amazed...
leon also can..since his akina got 3'03 liao i think he uses feint drift bahz.. -
Went to play at Tampines Century Square today.... saw the TA on this machine... Akina DH 2:59 with an AE86 ... so I definitely know it's possible... just don't know how to to do... argh!!!!

it is possible to get 3'02 to 3'00 on akina downhill with an ae86 without feint drifting... standard out-in-out methods taking the ideal line and not hitting wall will get you fast times... anything below 3'00 i think must feint liao... i only got 3'02 without feinting... i dont know how to feint... but once i almost got 3'01 to 3'00
