Yeah the 8V is better and more versatile....it can run wet, dry and snow...86 is a bit weaker on wet and snow..

GC8V is a better car than TRUENO AE86 even though this 2 cars good in all courses. TRUENO AE86 is faster than GC8V in AKINA downhill. For wet & snow, GC8V is better than TRUENO AE86 as what HIRA said. FR cars are design specially for dry weather like AE85, FC3S, Cappuccino & many other cars. Other FR cars like FD3S, Spirit R & RX-8 are design specially for dry & wet. 4WD cars are design specially for wet & snow like GC8V, EVO-4, R32 & many other cars.

From wat i hear from my frens they say 86 seems to be unbeatable in Akina down dry. Is there any car close to beating it?

i've tried many times but still cant beat takumi on akina DH dry...haiz..

Trueno on Akina DH is not that much of a monster. Its weak point is that its startup is one of the worst in the game (with the Mecha engine), so a maneuvable car like a FD or GC8V can get in front and block the shits out of it at the corners
