Need help with AE86

  Hi im an initial D arcade stage noob.. The only map i can complete is myogi.. yeah anyway i got a problem.. recently after seeing the anime.. im inspired to drive 86.. and i need help with detailed tune stuff.. like which one is good for where etc.. and also what diff upgrades do.. like those give u select item change options.. please help and i wuold be grateful for whoever help thanks in advance
  
  Regarding N tune cars.. I know they have engine upgrade all the way till 120k.. But after basic tune got anymore upgrade or not.. or stops at 120k..
  
  Regarding Turbo, u know those blow valve sound.. Do they really have performance improvement on those cars.. Or its just a SOUND without use..

  For the 86 Trueno,
  
  A, B and C tunes get the AE101 racing engine at 120k. This engine gives great accel in the upper gears.
  
  D Tune gets turbo at 120k. This gives good accel in the lower gears, giving better start-up but possibly lower top-end.
  
  N Tune gets the normal engine.
  
  For N-Tune, yes you get internal upgrades exactly the same way as you would the other tunes.
  
  Turbo cars usually have a faster start-up, so you can say they have an effect.
  
  The RX8 is a 6 gear car.

  Thanks HIRA.. u are so nice.. anyway.. is there any tune suited for rain?.. I love rain.. Is there any recommended brand of wheel i can change to make my N tune 86 better on rain? And my top speed i tried in myogi is like 197? lol.. N tune btw.. Is there a muffler i can change to boost acceleration.. wat parts boosts acceleration anyway.. i not sure.. bonnet? wing? wheels?

  no problem... about 86 parts i have no idea...that you will have to ask the 86 specialists in this forum..lol

  Well Well... Guess i'm not the only one. I also transferred my 86 over to ver. 3 and it became N-tune. (bleh!) My top speed on Myogi is about 200 rarely reaching 201. I have about 550K+ points in it and am waiting for the inspections. 55 left(OMG!) I guess i'm gonna play LotS again. Anyway, what do u mean by lower top end, HIRA? So in other words is the D-tune the better tune among the other tunes? Who can I turn to the forum? AE86 drivers pls gather!!!!

  i drive a 86...
  well personally im not really knowledged in the trueno parts... but if you wanna play safe just stick with A tune... excellent accel in 4th and 5th gears but sacrifices start up... for D tune lower top end means you get lower accel ability in the higher gears... personally i like A tune and if you find it too "drifty" change the hood to its stock one... a little more grippy...

  Hi there... personally not too much a pro 86 but would like to share some thoughts anyway.
  
  for tune D, you get faster pickup but lower accel at gear 4 and 5. Also, you will get lower max speed. For example, i got a bug 86 (FT). max speed is about 202. A-Tune. If you start off with D-Tune, the max speed is only about 198 - 201. Not too sure cuz haven seen any FT D-tune 86=X
  
  Anyway 86 is not really good for rain. Much less for myogi. parts wise i personally feel that the black rim.. (which comes wif Tune A) is good enough in wet. The other rims will ski alot more.

  I see.... I just sort of nearly completed LotS if not for that Sid. The one with the kopi car on shomaru. OMG it's so hard to pass him. Besides i'm still on N-tune, and the 86 has not much of accelerating power. It's so freaking frustrating. Anyone can give tips? I already one credited all the others except for this opponent.

  hmm i wish i knew that D got a turbo way back when i used it in version 2.. i'm way worse with the new engine than the old one..well except for on Myogi...

  Erm... the kopi car actually take some patient to pass him. Actually i tried before to eat into his lane from the start. Then juz try to block him all the way. If not hor the few left turn after the M. The road quite straight if i remember correctly so juz use the chance to pass him from the outside since after left turn its right turn then u eat in. Juz try to stay behind him but don't eat in if you don't haf confident. Later kena squeeze out bang wall more worse=X

  I just completed LotS!!!! with my 86!! Yay!!! Beat Takumi with a time of 2.57!!! Whee!!! Then beat Bunta in Akina too!! Yay!!!!
