Actually they perform differently in the game...for example, Evo IV is one of the best cars...while Evo VI is one of the worst cars in the game...don't believe, can check out initiald.org rankings...
The order of evos from best to worst (Evo IV best Evo, Evo VI worst Evo):
Evo IV- grippy, excellent cornering
Evo V- less grippy than Evo IV, great cornering, tendency to wheel-lock
Evo III- drifty, slight understeer
Evo VII- drifty, poorer cornering than the 4 above evos
Evo VI- poorest cornering of all, hard to control. But can still run akina snow and tsuchisaka.
