bugged car??????

Hi guys!
Before proceeding, can you analyze whether it is my driveing or the car is bugged.
I started id last year october. played many cars. started with ver 2 rx-7 spirit, then dc2. dc2 is very bugged as i finished takumi with only 2 continues.(very lousy lah noob mah!
)ver3 got lancer evo 5 but lost it last week. This week got gc8v.
PROBLEM.........
It was like the best car in the world. i only spent 1 credit on keisuke in akagi and not like last time where i used 3 credits. 2nd on one was i spent 7 credits on akina and not 12 which was when i was using lancer evo 5. i learned to use its braking but car a few times some time or another.
Can pros like HIRA help me and tell me whether it is bugged or just that i improved a little and got tyko and win. anyways i play in ps on sunday at around 2 to 5 pm. if anyone here would be helpful to help me check or just give me a fast reply on the problem.

I don't think Evo5 is a bugged car.... all i can say is that as u play... u will definately improve...

Anyways, there is absolutely no diff in performance between a bugged car and a normal car..that's right, no diff at all..from what you described, i think your skills improved....GC8V is not that much better than Evo V... -
There are a few reasons that can explain the difference you feel.
First of all, it is the car GC8V itself. At start (0 points), this car is already equipped with all the mods up till 120k points. Basically, it's not really a stock car as compared to the other cars at start. Therefore you would have found it easier using GC8V than using the other cars, up until 120k points. Oh and you should know, you can't have part changes for GC8V.
Second of all, it may be that AWD is just your style since you did play with some other cars and found them not so good. Actually, it's not that the cars are lousy, it's just your preference/style. Also I think AWD is also easier to drive than the others.
And finally, it's because subconsciously you memorized part of the tracks you have played on and so when you play them again, you're better than when you first played them. Basically you got more experience so your skills have improved. -
i agree with WRX. it could be just a simple case of ur experience. Plus, some people's style fits FRs, for others they prefer 4WD.
From my own experience, i have several ver 3 cars, both FRs and 4WDS. i finally decided on making the BNR34 my main car as it suits my style of slow-in, fast out. i dont like fancy drift shows or whatnot, so alot of the FRs i find difficult to drive. I prefer my car to grip on the road, so the BNR34 suits me just fine.
Maybe you found the same thing with your GC8V. personally i dont really like it, but since you do, have fun with it... -
I think the reason is that he simply improved..since he only started a few months ago, it wouldn't matter what drivetrain he is using..since he didn't have the skill if he only just started...but since he improved, he will find any car easier to use now...in my opinion, only after you reach a certain skill level, can you say 'this drivetrain is more suitable for me'..because before that you are not skilled enough to take advantage of each of the drivetrains' advantages..so you can't really say which style suits you at that point..bottomline is- his skills improved..

You can't discount style. True a new driver may not have the skill to know the advantages/disadvantages of the drivetrain but it is also this lack of knowledge that will cause a new driver to use AWD driving style for a RWD or FWD car. Once you have reached a good skill level, you'll know how to drive cars with different drivetrains without much problems because you know how each one works. coltzalin, I'm not sure how much you have played in the last few months but if it's everday then I guess experience would count as the reason. Otherwise go try different cars again. You should get back the same situation as before. If this is the case, then your current driving method is more suited for AWDs.
Also remember GC8V got all the parts at the start, so this may be another reason. Try a different AWD from start to see whether you can get the same results as GC8V. -

Okie...i tell u what u want to know. rx8 and gc8v are probably the best handling cars out there. So u might want to try out rx8 too.
So if u r looking for the next dc2 and rx7 spirit r in ver3.....u be better off owning rx8 and gc8v lor......they are quite fast and easy for beginners.
Practise more and I hope you win alot of pple out there. -

it is close to r34 but i feel i handle the r34 slightly better than gc8v...both are very close ok>

Ahh, that explains a lot. Well unless you do have a lot of spare time and money, try to stick to just 1 car that you really, really like. Otherwise if you keep switching between cars, you'll get more confused why certain things don't apply to certain cars, also cost factor.Originally posted by coltzalin:

Use 1 car and learn the basics first and from there maybe you can stick to the same car or try a new one. GC8V is pretty easy to use and you seem to find it better to use than RX7. Not sure if RX7 handles like RX8 but they should be similar. I've only been driving GC8V.
Just curious, do you ever use the brakes when playing ID? Usually new players don't use the brakes and AWD is easier to handle than other cars if you never/seldom use brakes. -
last time i did not know how to brake as i am afraid that it will be too slow. but now i can because actually i dont barke a lot but istry to go out then go in as much as possible with brakes and the turn is somwhow nearly finished, i step pedal again

Don't be worried to use the brakes a lot when just starting to play this game. You need to figure out for yourself how you should handle each turn at which speed. If you constantly go in real fast and scrape the walls, you'll never find the proper way to handle the turns. Go in slow and then come out fast and not the other way around, fast in slow out. Try to do all your braking before the turn and accelerate out all through the turn. ME!!!ME!!! but i'm playin at tampines... so i think it night be quite far for u... but my timin for akagi DH dry is 2.25.. wet is 2.33... for tuban inbound is 2.48... outbound is 2.45... if i'm not wrong la... but HIRA... i think rx8 is not so 'wild' as u mention... if u'r able to handle it well... i will hav alot of fun... on the other hand... rx8 is good at akagi n tuban tooOriginally posted by coltzalin:anyone here use rx-8, can tell me where u play and i see first
