Jay Chou totally cannot act as Takumi.
The 'look' isn't there. Tsui Hark isn't directing.

It is goint to be film at between june and july.... sad to say let's all face it lor... that jay chou will be acting as takumi and driving the AE86.... of course with stunt man.... let's cross our fingers that the movie will turn out fine.....

I'm a bit unsure that Jackie Chan as Bunta will work out nicely. I think Bunta is pretty stone faced, it's like he's got ice water in his veins (good for racing). But Jackie's face is quite animated and I don't think Jackie is one to carry a cigarette well. And there's also the small problem of his nose...
I guess it's because of his previous movie Thunderbolt that Jackie was chosen. But still it's Bunta we're talking about. -

ever watch before the show legend of speed where there is ekin cheng and simon yam.. i think they fit nicely into the movie as simon yam was cool driving in teh show with the nitros on... jay chou doesnt fit takumi ... maybe other roles, i think if kein acts he fits Keisuke, looks and attitude almost the same.. i heard abt it too but i duno which web it says can anyone tell me?
