a yellow altezza

just now when i went to century sq i saw a yellow altezza guy... he is around lvl 11 or 12 n he is very cheap... when i play wif him he block my way all the time... i admit he is quite pro... but then he screw around wif me... played around 10+ games wif him n eventually win him sometimes.. did anyone saw or meet him b4 ar? btw his car nick is **W** if i'm not wrong

Hmm, blocking's a legal move. At least you can learn how to overtake right?

i dont noe. i always overtake at the outside lane. altho typically is use the inner lane and overtake. if u r faster than him... shouldnt be a problem. on the turn, i take the outside. then, if nothing goes wrong, u should end up beside him. after coming out of the turn. he cant really block u. it's more difficult for him to block, coz he also has to concentrate on turning. quite a number of my wins are by going on the outside.
of course, i'm not saying not to overtake on the inside if u hv the chance, coz it's definitely easier. but i normally encounter blockers, so this is how i counter them.

Blocking is a skill. Ask any experienced player. It is an art if you are using a car that is poor in handling..coz if your opponent is using a car with good cornering ability, you need skill to block him if your speed is slightly lower..and it's also a technique that requires tons of concentration...one lapse, and the opponent with higher corner speeds is likely to pass..
Also, look at real-life racing, the car in front always takes the apex to block the lining..on a straight road, he will weave left and right to prevent the opponent from passing. The opponent will have to slow down or there will be a crash. In ID, you can't crash, but try your overtaking techniques in real-life and you''ll be dead. -

i think about the crucial attack points of the map during the race..for example, on akagi, it's the first CP, the sharp V turn, and the 4 consecutives at the end. For Iro, it's the jumps. Those are points which is harder for the opponent to block. the guy drive left n right after every corners... hard to overtake him but sometimes i mimic him n pass him... dun really like that guy as his fren keep talkin crap... btw his fren oso quite pro... akina DH he can get 3.00 wif his 86... he can clear corners in akagi usin S14 very smooth... i nv see anyone as smooth as him... except for some pros... -
He's not playing stink, he's being quite smart actually
the Altezza is known for fantastic startup (only the S15 and the MX-5 wins it on ver.3 ) but only so-so handling. Hence his priority is to make sure his normally more-agile opponent doesnt get in front of him, 'cause once he slips up, he's gone... -
then how about my rx-8 against his altezza?

saw another black altezza today... we play akagi all the time... i played every maps on wet... but i dunno altezza sux on wet... but is altezza pick up faster the rx-8? coz both r 6 gears cars... me mostly win... not always
