29 Star BUNTA

Hi, just thought i post some time(s) that i did in order to beat BUNTA at 29 stars. (with DC2 integra - No Tune) Note that these times are not the times to go for. You may be faster and totally thrash Bunta or you may have a better blocking technique than i do. But just as a reference only.
Akagi - 2'17"4xx (29 stars)
Akina - I cant get 29 stars. I run 2'54s on time attack but cant beat him. Still stuck with 24. I am sure its possible but it is looking to be quite the other...
Happou - 2'19"902 (29 stars)
Irrou - 2'38" (29 stars) (But cutting it close)
Anyone know the time required to beat Bunta in AKINA? I have been throwing money away at 24 stars for an eternity...

i did beat bunta quite a Number of times at akina but my car is diff. frm yours. But what u need is practice... even though my cuppucino is alot faster in the corners(like a Mini cooper) it's very oversteery.. your integra is more stable and handles better than most of the cars.... FYI my cuppucino only has 6 stars on the card

From what i heard of all maps Akina in Bunta mode is the hardest of all...plus its Bunta's home also... I think need to know the Bunta well and see at which part u lose out to him...

hei dude... really impressed how you managed to reach 29th star. can teach .. what's yr car?? mod?? tuning?? wana learn from ya...
me using trueno thou but.. i wana make my trueno fly.. until now my trueno can reach 3:03 on akina sometime 3:02 but quite hard to maintain... -
hi, i dont have much secrets but here is the stats to my car:
Integra DC2
No tune (normal course)
Gold Rims (Volk Racing wheels)
No other parts change
Points: Pass 990K already but due to the times i have played the 60k track, i have about 300K + points.
Just keep practicing and try not to hit the walls or gaurd rails even if it means going slower round the corners.
Use the out in out method in most if not all corners so as to maximise your turning potential. ie: try to get your car as near to the inside corner as you can.
Learn to shift gears smoothly and learn when to brake hard and when to just 'tap' the brake
Howevr, i dont have 29 stars on akina though. I only have 24. I am unable to go faster to overtake bunta on akina. Every star from here on i guess would be a real milestone.

Wah, all e best! i saw 1 x-treme member with a RX-7 tune b with 29 stars on Akagi. I got 2'21 on Akagi, currently on 24 stars.

can be no tune meh? it is no tune under type A? but last time i had post about the rims will effect some in the racing course, but now i use the black rims, quite easy to drifting.Originally posted by Dark Conviction:Integra DC2

I chose the gold rims simply based on cosmetic purposed only. I really cant tell the difference between the black spoon ones and the gold volk racing ones. I ran both types before and found that my times didnt really change much.
As for tune, i just went for normal course as that allowed me a whole host of parts change options later on. -

A little tip that i know...
Beat Bunta by abit in Akina DO not thrash Bunta in the 1st 20th star this shld help those ppl who want to start Bunta Challenge for those stuck at 20+++ star i guess u got to go faster anyway i saw a DC2 with 27 star.. thats wat the person told me -

No progress yet. Cant seem to overtake him and I am currently still stuck.
As for not thrashing Bunta in the earlier rounds, i think its a bit too late for me now. Will remember that in future if i do start with another car.
However, I have surfed other forums and some say the time to do 29 stars is <2:50. Which i belive can be acheived by the capp and even on DC2, would be world class standard.
However, still trying as i know that once i can pass him, i will be able to try to block most of the way. Or even ram into him or whatever to win. -
Ramming doesn't seem to work. I tried pushing him to the barrier once and he still can accelerate like as if I didn't hit him. I think the only way is to block him.

oh i see... dont know if this helps but once i seen a dc2 sprint ahead of wrx on ist gear and he immediately cut into bunta's lane while and the same time upshift to 2nd and 3rd gear... bunta gave way and he lead! but bunta was never far behind and 1 blocking mistake in the open road in section 4 cost him the star... bunta wrx got unbelievable speed in the straight... but the point is he got the chance to overtake and this improve the chances of winning i guess rather than let bunta take the lead? i wouldnt know with my timing i think i can only get to 20 stars at most...

Yo Dark Conviction from the infomation that i have, you can get thirty stars for your maps which you have 29 stars already... please try and win again for eg at happo and the machine will register the 30th star... please info us of the result then...Originally posted by Dark Conviction:Nope.

Not wanting to discourage u, it's almost impossible to beat bunta in akina using DC2 if u wanna achieve the 25th to 29th star..

Very very happy. But my wallet has taken a big hit.

Lost: 180,000 points
I think i have reached my max already. It wasnt even a convincing win. -
