there will not be any idas v.3 or another movie/ show only the comic book will be out. REason...the stupid japs think that they are really takumi and they try out the techniques..too many accidents later the jap goverment has decided to ban fur production of the animated series and further games....(why else do u think IDSS got delay...coz of legal issues....

the only reason the next season of the anime isn't out yet is because the comic hasn't progressed far enough for a new animated series to be made.
drifting is a popular hobby in japan. they have tv shows every week that show/teach people how to drift. of course they do it in a race track. -

it's not possible for the story to continue on at this point as the comic itself has barely started the project D chapter.
season 1 n 2 of initial D covered the comics from 1 - 14.
the movie covered books 15-17. project D started at the end of book 17, and it is only up to book 26 now where takumi has just started learning to drive the wrx.
i think the earliest also must wait till book 30 is out.
anyway the comics are alot more interesting than the cartoons. only thing about cartoons is you can see the racing in action, but the comics focuses on alot of racing theories etc. it's an interesting read.
the trailer is probably for the game, if not it's for special stage, just a compilation of all the races from stage 1 - 3.

well i cant really read chinese so only chance to continue story is to wait patiently for 4th stage... meanwhile there is special stage to entertain me, already m line and shina (anna pass) gives a taste of things to come...

the english version should be by toyko pop. heard they do stupid things like change the names (not so bad), chage the story like takumi become pizza boy (very bad - tofu easier to smash than pizza) and even the language (very very bad) like itsuki calling takumi 'yo homie wats up'! if (big if) they kept the integrity of the japanese manga they wouldnt have so many haters. too bad my chinese buang one or i buy the chinese edition one...

the americans seem to want to americanised everything... even some americans want the 'original version' of the manga to be translated like having the original names retained rather than have tokyo killed the series by americansing id...

japanese isn't hard to learn
after about 2 or so books with a kana chart, you'd probably be able to recognise all the japanese characters and would be familiar with the more common kanji characters. -
haha, well, from what i heard from the other country forums, the english translation really sucks big time, anyway chuang yi also not any better what.........mispelled alot od cars..........
