I kept hearing that if there is screeching sound when u start the car, ur accerlearation will be faster. Is theer any truth in this statement? If yes, what is the best gear shift sequence for DC2? Seeking the help of experts out there!

i use dc2 type D gear shift 6,7,8,8 quite fast
i guess just like AT gear accerlearation fast, correct me if i wrong

For shifting of DC2's gear, it's 7, 7.5, 8, redline.

Still not really sure if it's any good or not to get the tires to screech. But I think it seems only certain cars can do it on certain tracks. For example, the DC2 and GC8V can do it at Akina. The best gear shift for all FDs is 6.5, 6.5, 7, 7 .. for third and fourth gear, it's actually a box after 7. Thanks Kohanson! Does it matter what Parts you have selected for your FD? I think I have Parts C or D. Is there a fastest Parts?

I agree siah... train 2 months wif my FD type A and i kinda of noe wad's my car's behaviour.... Just some advice on the gear transmission for FD.... Thanks Ryosuke. I remember one time when I was playing, and I shifted to 5th gear when I as going at about 140 kph, it hardly accelerated. I feel that's unrealistic, but then it's just a game .

a sharp chirp should be heard but no more.... a long screech indicates too much wheelspin which means your car's power is not being laid to the ground properly due to a lack of traction, due to a surfeit of torque..... thats why the initial torque must be just enuf for the tyres to cope. the key to a good start is to keep it neat and clean.
habit for me is to rev it to between 3000 n 3500 rpms.......comes from playing F355 Challenge

Different cars got different rpm marks where e "valve" opens or for example, a Honda Civic Vitec, e vitec engine power kicks in. usually e normal range to change gears for city driving is around 2,500 to 3,000 rpm. Nissian Sunny (manual) power kicks in at 4,500 rpm. Any normal car should be able to hit 80km/h on 2nd gear, somewhere nearing redline.

Sorry. A small correction here. For Honda VTEC cars, the VTEC engine wun kicks in on the 2.5K - 3K range. The VTEC valve only open around the 6K range. If the valve opens so early... Again I do understand some owners will install a VTEC controller to adjust the valve opening timing but I dun often see any one will set the setting till below 5K range.
