Still not really sure if it's any good or not to get the tires to screech. But I think it seems only certain cars can do it on certain tracks. For example, the DC2 and GC8V can do it at Akina. The RX can do it at Akagi and the Trueno can do it at Iro.Originally posted by lsr792000:I kept hearing that if there is screeching sound when u start the car, ur accerlearation will be faster. Is theer any truth in this statement? If yes, what is the best gear shift sequence for DC2? Seeking the help of experts out there!![]()
The best gear shift for all FDs is 6.5, 6.5, 7, 7 .. for third and fourth gear, it's actually a box after 7. You will shift to the next gear after the needle points after 7.Originally posted by mrfd3s:Hello I'm new here I'm a RX-7 FD3S user in the united states and I was wondering what is the fastest gear shifting for the RX-7 Type R? The one Keisuke has?
FD3S really need some practice and technic to get the car faster...Originally posted by mrfd3s:Thanks Kohanson! Does it matter what Parts you have selected for your FD? I think I have Parts C or D. Is there a fastest Parts?
I agree siah... train 2 months wif my FD type A and i kinda of noe wad's my car's behaviour.... Just some advice on the gear transmission for FD.... When u shift ur gear from 4 to 5, the speed mus be at 150 km/h in order to have a smooth transmission...Originally posted by Matr|x:FD3S really need some practice and technic to get the car faster...

anyways i neh play initial d b4
Also, if you know how to "store power" in your engineOriginally posted by mrfd3s:Thanks Ryosuke. I remember one time when I was playing, and I shifted to 5th gear when I as going at about 140 kph, it hardly accelerated. I feel that's unrealistic, but then it's just a game.
Theory in real life... of how to figure a car..... is that u usually rev the car up to somewhere from 3000rpm to 5000rpm depending on car... then dump clutch.Originally posted by Jason:i always thought when tyres screech from launch means they are spinning and have lost grip thus acceleration is slower?

Sorry. A small correction here. For Honda VTEC cars, the VTEC engine wun kicks in on the 2.5K - 3K range. The VTEC valve only open around the 6K range. If the valve opens so early... I think all Honda VTEC owners will be complaining of high fuel consumption.Originally posted by terumo:Different cars got different rpm marks where e "valve" opens or for example, a Honda Civic Vitec, e vitec engine power kicks in. usually e normal range to change gears for city driving is around 2,500 to 3,000 rpm. Nissian Sunny (manual) power kicks in at 4,500 rpm. Any normal car should be able to hit 80km/h on 2nd gear, somewhere nearing redline.
