You are saying "Singapore GDP Growth is not driven by new business ideas and Increased work efficiency" . buy some books and read .

But the truth is . GDP growth does affect all singaporeans . it contributed for all the primary, secondary and tertiary infrastructures we have too . including our MRT and market price .
Some FT has class . majority dont . lets just say that is just the way it should be . there are more common graduates than cum laude graduate . if all the FT who came in are selected from the 'elites group' in their homeland and you do not import the lower class FT then you will see all the manager, supervisor, CEO, CFO, directors position disappear from our singaporean grasp .
by that time . imagine . would you not be here complaining about that instead ?

What if their investment failed, or lets say not within their expectation Do they abandon you into the wilds ? Or cast you out of your house ? Or perhaps replace you (FT)

I cannot imagine . because my natural instinct would not deny my own existence in this world . and would subconsciously drive me to be better . unless I am an idiot, mentally or physically disabled .That is also why it is different . now you see that the country is a country and the government is guarding the country as a whole and is not your family and is not guarding your self interests . it is governing the country as a whole . so do what is best for yourself . coz the government cannot really care for each individual .
Lets talk about company . even corporation would replace you with an FT if you cannot perform as efficient as them . that is your competition . the company do not care if you are unemployed . without you the company still have to run you see .

So in what way are they defending the country. Or perhaps the basic question i would ask is, have you even served NS before. Do you understand what is NS liability. So now, are you suggesting we should remove this NS idea in total ? Since you stated everyone is defending the country why the need to hold a gun.

Its the same isnt it ? Just that my idea is abit more realistic. Gladiator style... sending out fighters into the battle zone, fight with all the animals, strongest one survives. The king just sits there high up in the shade, with people feeding him grapes. You lose the fight you die. Its survival of the fittest

How sure are you that the reason for the GDP increase is not by what i have said. Your textbook again ?

Yeah everyone is doing their part defending singapore . Teachers teach their students to be better generation so they would grow up, get good job and contribute to the nation . a KFC manager is doing his manager duty in order to sustain sales and contribute to KFC income so KFC can still pay tax which contribute to the nation . a singaporean athlete just practice and exercise everyday in order to be the winner when he/she is competing one day and make sinagpore proud which contribute to the nation . those are all defending the country and contributing to the nation .by working and not being unemployed . is already contributing to the nation .
Singaporean going overseas to study and then live there as permanent resident is just the same case . they are also somehow hindered by the locals in the country they migrate to . so dont make a fuss this is just a phase .

No it is not the same . please read again and find some explainable references .yes we are fighting to survive . and it is getting more intense . like it or not you cannot escape from it . your children cannot . your grandchild cannot . you move to other country you would also face the same problem just in opposite position (you as FT) . you cannot escape the intensity . you just fight with what you have . remember what morpheus said ? we are all living towards a life where human are seen only as batteries (holding out an alkaline battery to Neo) . and what better batteries than human ? you give them food they recycle/reproduce themselves and you do not need to motivate them, they will motivate themselves because naturally they want to be better . and the more better they become the more better job they are having the more income tax they are paying and the more salary they are earning the more stuff they want to buy because they are also naturally greedy and the more they are contributing to the tax for the things they bought those who live in HDB would want to live in Condo . those who live in condo would want to live in semi D houses . and whatever they do they just die in the end . and even when they die they pay tax for their coffin or their funeral arrangements .

The vietnamese engineer that the boss juz hired sucks, his english is so power that people don't understand what is he talking about and every little things oso need a local sigaporean to translate for him and spoon-feed him...
why he got hired ?? becoz he is cheaper compared to hiring a fresh grad out of NTU or NUS....this guy have a 1 yr degree from oxford brookes and is asking for 2K with the foreigner levy deducted from his pay monthly whereas sigaporean grads are asking for 2.5k to 2.8K, and the boss still have to top-up 15.5% more into the sinkie CPF monthly if employed...
any tom, dick or harry from any crap countries can come here to find work easily and alot of them actually get employed in low-level or PMET level jobs easily becoz of there is a huge demand for cheap labour from the employers here in S'pore and the gahmen is happily obliging them. We are no different from a prositute
End of the day you have to ask our gahmen and NTUC why are they not protecting local sinkies with minimum wages and etc and why are they not doing proper QC for the FTs who alot of them have fake degrees or certificates but still can find job easily in S'pore...
my problem is alot of so called FTs are also as behkan or even more behkan then local sinkies but then the only reason they got employed is becoz they are cheaper but they can afford to be cheap becoz they are alone here in S'pore without their family.
why foreigners behkan our pappies still say they are talents while sinkies are not talents at all even though they might be more capable then the foreigners ?I am a Singaporean, yet my Gov is supporting FT to complete with me.

FT hv experience & skilled, but SGD converts back to their currency, they can well demand a much lower pay than me. A Uni grad with a bombay degree can ask for a lower pay than me can he ? Yes of course. But for me ? Everything is in SGD, is it fair ?Majority of singaporeans are asking not for free lunches but rather a truly fair competition.
